Here are some of the National, International and regional picks against the Niners this weekend:
Darryl Slater, NJ.com: Packers 38, 49ers 7
Darryl Slater: What a heavyweight battle in the NFC. The 49ers and Packers both went 13-3 this season — two of the top four records in the entire NFL. (The other two teams, the Ravens and Saints, are done.) This will be the ultimate test of the 49ers' rebuilding progress. But as 36-year-old Aaron Rodgers tries to win his second Super Bowl — in just his second appearance in the game, which seems crazy — he will prove to be too much for San Francisco. Packers 38, 49ers 7.

The only thing that worries me is if the refs make sure Rodgers finds the end zone, like his only score against us last game.
I could see them doing it just about every drive.
Hard to imagine them not playing a role.

The tables have turned???? That was when Young was just passed his prime, and we could argue Rodgers is now as well. Favre was up and coming, and now so is Jimmy G
Sorry but the only history repeating thing that's happening this year is 1981 season.
I'd rather Jimmy not have 3 INT's and 2 fumbles though. But if the game ends with another "catch" moment, I'll take it. Lol
Hell yeah but let's have a "The Throw" moment. FYI the reason why it's called The Catch is because it wasn't a good throw.![]()
Ok...let's do the 1994 season repeat in terms of playoff play but 81 season in terms of beginning of a dynasty

As far as attacking the middle of the field, if Packers overcompensate for this, then 49ers need to be ready.
0% sacks on playaction is crazy. I guess those two Smith guys only get sacks when it's an obvious passing situation. One way to prevent that is not be in '3rd and pass it'.
That can't be stressed enough "Packers overcompensate the middle of the field" and the 49ers needing to be ready for this. Jimmy G in particular. Rarely has he gone outside the numbers all season long. Of course, It's still on the Packers to stop it, and honestly I don't think they can even if they know we attack the middle of the field.

Why people still hung up on what the Media says??For all i care Mickey Mouse,Kermit The Frog,Miss Piggy,Kim Kardashin,The Pope Could pick the 49ers. Still has zero effect on the game. The Only people's Opinion that count and matter are the 53 and Staff that are Inside that 49ers Locker Room.

Do you think it's unfair for an analyst to pick an opponent to win?
Is the only way you'd be satisfied if every single prediction went the 49ers way?
Should experts only be allowed to pick the favored team?
Why do people get so butthurt over this? Who gives a s**t? Especially because the vast majority of people are still picking the 49ers to win (e.g. the "Picks" page on ESPN has 10 of 11 analysts picking SF). Are you just going through and cherry-picking because you get a rush out of feeling offended? The Titans just knocked off the Ravens, anything can happen.
By the way, I feel really confident about the 49ers thing weekend. I don't just think the Packers are that good.

That's what worries me too. It's something that's not being talked about enough in this thread. After that horsehit game 1 vs the Lions where the refs LITERALLY gave the Packers the win, it made me realize that they could be a factor in this game getting their boy into the super bowl. The only thing that stops the refs from being a factor is a blow out.

Okay my prediction.
SF at HOME with an extra day rest.
Everything we do on offense, their defense sucks at defending.
-Their most used personnel groups don't matchup with what we like to play out of. SF loves pre-snap motion & GB sucks at defending that. SF loves throwing to the middle of the field & GB sucks at defending that. SF runs a ton of play-action & GB is awful vs it. GB is one of the worst defenses vs the run & SF is 2nd in the NFL running the ball.
-Off offense, GB is limited with really only one true WR. Adams is a stud and I expect SF to force them to throw the ball elsewhere (hopefully towards Sherm). I expect a healthy DL to put pressure on Rogers. I also expect them to attack Billy Turner and the right side in general. Lost of stunts and the focus will be to make Jones have to run between the tackles and kept them in 3rd and long. This defense has looked well coached and disciplined all yr. I Don't expect that to change. Maybe Ward finally gets an INT
final score....
SF 30 - GB 17
