SF 49ERS vs GB PACKERS Pregame Thread - 2019 NFC CHAMPIONSHIP

That can't be stressed enough "Packers overcompensate the middle of the field" and the 49ers needing to be ready for this. Jimmy G in particular. Rarely has he gone outside the numbers all season long. Of course, It's still on the Packers to stop it, and honestly I don't think they can even if they know we attack the middle of the field.

Thing is GB has been piss poor vs the middle of the field ALL YEAR. They haven't adjusted to it and don't have the personnel overall to fix it.
I live about 5 hours from Green Bay and I'm glad that the game isn't being played up there this weekend. Gametime would be in the teens with 6ish inches of fresh snow on the ground from a storm happening today and tomorrow. That final regular season game was HUGE.

I'd say 26 - 17 Niners.

26 pts. That's the target number. If we get 26+ pts, we're 11-0 this season.

2 TDs and 4 FGs
3 TDs and 2 FGs
4 TDs

Just keep that in mind. I feel like our D can hold them to 14 or less, but Rodgers has some crazy plays ready to go.

Adams will get his, it'll come down to whether or not Jones can get going.
Could u imagine Titans vs GB SB? Zzzzzzz lol

Just a thought. Maybe GB won't look for quick throws and bootlegs to get 7 yards at a time. Maybe they look to get chunk gains knowing that methodically moving the ball down the field isn't the way to go. Go deep, try to get a flag, trick plays.

Shoulder hits the ground. He's down. No ball on the line.

Can never get tired of seeing that

Hope so SF is best in the NFL at defending passes 20+ downfield. Especially with no spoon

Greenlaw laying the law. I will never not watch this replay 500 times when it pops up.
I appreciate those original hot takes of "the 49ers have the better overall team, but the guy on the other sideline is Aaron Rodgers."

You mean the Aaron Rodgers who threw for 7.0 yards per attempt this year (vs. the guy who led the league in YPA at 8.4), had a 62% completion percentage (vs 69% for Jimmy) and a passer rating of 95 (vs 102 for Jimmy) and the same amount yards and one fewer TD than "the guy on the 49ers sideline?"

It's almost as if the Packers didn't get their @sses kicked by 29 points seven weeks ago and Aaron Rodgers is Tom Brady in the post-season (not.even.close).

they're gonna hafta open the whole bag of tricks to even have a chance, and they know it.
My prediction is 27-17 Niners.

I think it's close until half time and then we ramp it up on our way to Miami.
