I agree. Really bad on both ends. I saw about 100 non-holding calls on their whole OL and secondary too. I wasn't a fan of the in-the-grasp call but it is designed to keep the QB safe and Wilson still got the 1st anyhow.

The biggest by far was the spot though given the timing of it and forcing a 47 yard FG from the hash the FG kicker wasn't as comfortable with (and the time kept on the clock if he did miss).

But we still should have won. No excuses.

I wish I could replay the video. Kyle was SUPER PISSED he didn't get the first down call after the review and without considering anything else, immediately gave the signal for the kicking team. The reason why Hoodie is so good is because he's ice-cold analytical during most games.

I bet he wants that back either way...run over Tomlinson's side so even if we aren't given the spot, the ball is at the same hash as the previous kick.

I've seen the hoodie make some very stupid calls...

Pretty sure the old rule was whomever scores first wins...FG/TD or whatever. No rebuttal

Anyone else hate the new overtime rule. It makes it possible for the game to be won by the coin toss winner if they score a TD. The other team doesn't even get the ball. They should at least have the opportunity to respond with a TD.

It's better than it used to be where a team can win the coin toss, get the ball, and kick a field goal to end it.

Under the old rule if the coin toss winner kicked a FG the other team got the ball but had to score a TD, they couldn't kick a FG and tie it up again. That was a lot more fair. Not sure why they changed it but I guess it had something to do with safety like every other rule change.

Really? I thought they changed it so that teams couldn't win the toss, get the ball, kick a FG and end the game, without the other team ever getting the ball.

I think there were two changes in recent years. You're talking about the rule that was in place for many years where first score in OT wins which is what got a lot of people pissed off.

I'm ok with the current rule but I probably wouldn't be if our defense was trash :D

Shame our replacement kicker couldn't make the game winner.

The best NFL OT game ever was the 1981 classic playoff game between the San Diego Chargers and the Miami Dolphins. It was in Miami, hot and humid, and by overtime players on both sides were dropping like flies. It went to double OT with each side having a chance for the winning FG, only to miss, before the Chargers finally hit one and limped away with the W. Kellen Winslow was All-Universe.

The winner of that game, the Chargers, a high flying offense, got to go play in -63 wind chill in Cincinnati, one week after playing in sweltering Miami! The Bengals won and went on to face us in the Super Bowl.

So mea culpa I was wrong about the tackles being back as an upgrade, it's clear they were rusty but then again, i'm not sure the in sync backups would have fared much better - Clowney had the game of this GD life.

I AM SO F'ING SICK OF ALL THESE GODDAMN INJURIES!!!

Losing a last second game in OT doesn't equal getting embarrassed

it hurts more than getting blown out

I was surprised when we set up only at the 50 after that INT. I felt like he was running forever.

Then the Mostert spot.

But we did get away with a lot of PI and Wilson abuse calls.

And they got away with a s**t-ton of holding. Point?

Which makes me wonder why in the hell Staley and McG didn't at least try to hold Clowney.
Does anyone have a screenshot or video that shows Mostert cross the first down marker?

I don't even think it was stupid. I think once Sanders went down, Kyle had to throw the game plan out the window and call on the fly and just struggled with nuances like this. He can only do so much. Seattle got to play the very same game plan they play every week and walk away winning last second.

It's in here somewhere. I want a gif of the top of your TV line judge immediately run down the line and spot if correctly past the first down marker...thought he had the only clear visual too.

Then...overturned.
Haha I do remember watching the coin toss and hearing geno say one thing then the ref said the other. But I figured I just mis heard lol
We all know how much the Niners missed kittle for his receiving but they also missed his blocking. If he had been in there, he probably would have lined up on Clowney's side and help take away that pass rush.

Ooo your feisty. And a little too emotional if you don't know the point.

And kept Seattle from completely stacking the box

Yes - I was confused how the guy on the other side of the pile trumped him. 21 points off turnovers, if Steelers do then Niners have two losses.
