I'm more worried about or DL run defense than our passrush. Our rush should be as good or better than last season IMO.

Kinlaw's play will determine a lot in the run game. I think they want him to play the role of DJ but I'm just not sure that he can. I'm wondering what they will do with AA. Will they push him inside full time or push him back at DE and only inside on pass rushing downs. My base d line would be Hyder-AA-Kinlaw-Bosa. There are so many combos for the pass rush i got stuck trying to figure which on eto go with. Jackson-AA/KinlawGivens/Hurst-Bosa. Then you still have Hyder and Ebukam to rotate in at DE.

Yep, for sure. They're heading into the season putting a lot of faith in Kinlaw staying healthy. I hope it works out because if he's not on the field, the run defense could get ugly.

Kocurek implied that AA is staying inside full-time, which is good. I think Hyder will end up winning that left end base spot.

This DL could end up being ridiculously good. Already Demeco has noted how Ebukam has picked up where he left off, Turay is balling, Jackson has rare tools, Omenihu is playing outside and inside (Key), etc.

And the LBers right behind them should be healthy and dominate, will feed off each other. Front 7 looking good, safety and CB could come together too

That is certainly the hope! Ripple effect. Hopefully the officials will let them play.

Who will fill DJ's role? Can't count on Kinlaw or Hurst.

It'll be Kinlaw and Ridgeway. Or Ridgeway if Kinlaw isn't healthy. And it'll be on the early downs and a dude like Omenihu rushing from inside in pass rush situations. Run suffers aren't hard to find off the streets either.

The man ain't lying.
"And I think in the day and age of football, it's set up right now for offense to have so much success," Lynch admitted. "I really believe it's the great equalizer to have a dominant defensive line. It's the one thing that you can dictate from, and Kyle has the same philosophy. So, we've continued to add to it. We had some good pieces when we first got here. We continued to add to it every year, and it's served us well."

Givens isn't built to be a run stuffer that consistently takes on double teams and hold up. I'm not sure Kinlaw can stay healthy and i have no clue on Ridgeway. If they can't hold up on the early downs guys like Omenihu won't be in the game to effectively rush from the inside on passing downs.

Kalia Davis should be rounding into shape towards the middle/end of the 2022 season and could be available as a plug in DLinemen if ShanaLynch is short on them. UDFA Kevin Atkins looks like a promising DLine prospect too. Hassan Ridgeway is another veteran DT. With Kocureck, I'm pretty confident any of these guys should be able to help the team down the road. What Kocurek's done with unheralded DLinemen is simply
amazing!

I really like Davis as well i think he has some legit upside. i really like the depth we have overall on Dline both inside and on the EDGE.
I think our Dline this year can match 2019 production and i think our corners are better this year. Great thing is our Dline is super young too

Best case scenario Kinlaw is healthy and consistent. Complete best DL in league. Worst case we have a rotation of Kinlaw, ridgeway, givens, hurst, k Davis. Edge competition is fierce. Got 5 guys capable of 5-8 sacks. Who emerges for reps will be interesting.
