but is it me or Halton and Valdez did more in this half so far against seattle than our DTs last year have against them ?

Halton/Valdez are playing the way we wanted Collins/West to play when we drafted them.

Our IDL may have just pulled a Lance/Purdy move.

Hopefully both Collins and West recover 💯% from their injuries, but also I hope they can adjust to how Raheem want's his DLine's to play. He likes DLinemen that can move laterally so he can execute his stunts and dogs with the LB's and DE's. He's not going to want guys that aren't agile and can't move side to side.

I want to say the coverage had a lot to do with this. Many times I felt Darnold completed his drop, couldn't make a decision, then the pressure came.

100%

They also left a few sacks on the field that were straight up wins by the DL. Sam Darnold is a slippery ginger.

Love this being noted. Morris has completely transformed this secondary and I'm beginning to worry we may lose him soon...

I don't think anybody is going to offer him a head coaching stint considering he's had two head coaching stints prior to being with Kyle and both were flops. However, if he does leave, Jerry Gray (Rhaeem's pass defense coordinator) is also a former NFL Defensive Coordinator - and can transition to DC *if* Raheem would leave. That would be one option for Kyle. Again, I don't think Raheem's going to be offered much considering his two past mediocre head coaching records with Tampa Bay and Atlanta.

10 year 49ers DC/assistant HC!

The real question: How do we get out of his contract? Too injury prone.

49ers currently have the most cap space (40M+) in the NFL so rolling that much to 2027 would allow 49ers to take a big dead cap hit if they are looking to move on. Bosa has an "out" in his contract after this season according to Spotrac, although it does not explain the details (player option or team option), so his status will be the biggest issue this offseason.

they played a heck of a game last night. The secondary played like dookie though.

Yeah, there were too many blown zone coverages. Looks like Renardo Green suddenly forgot to sink in a zone.

Its getting better every game. Reminds me of the defense and the evolution of Charles Haley, Michael Carter, Pete Kuger, Kevin F*gan and Jeff Stover during the 1988 Superbowl season. None of these guys were household names back then.

Disappointed that Hulk, Halton, and Height, as well as James Thompson didn't make any plays. I hope they do better against the Raiders.
Didn't generate any rush but we also did nothing creative up front like we did in past games.
One of issues that our DL will have is many of these guys are rookies who will hit that mid season wall. All the more reason to get some help….Buck Buck Buck. Do it.

Not to mention Atlanta did a lot of short passes. And Morris did nothing to adjust to that. I mean how could he with the s**tty CB's he had out there in Jack Jones and Ashtyn Davis. I blame John Lynch for this s**tty secondary.
