This dude does a couple of things and ppl mention him as if he's a solid depth piece

But he's too light for DT and more times than not, he doesn't do much of anything at all

Givens shouldn't be starting, he should be passing downs only.

Rather give Anderson another crack at it, I don't think he's ever been pancaked by an O lineman, let alone by a full back
I have yet to see what the coaches see in Givens. He is a DT that cannot do anything against the run.

Does he have decent speed at least, maybe try him on blitzes or edge... he's blatantly not a DT tho he's listed as one

I would hate to be him in film session watching what that fullback did to him.

Defending whams/traps in the wide 9 isn't easy. By the time Givens realized what was happening, it was too late.
Haha sure why not

I know it's not saying much but he was the best pass rusher the 9ers had. That sucks.

too bad, and unfortunately this is the risk of roster/practice squad manipulation, we also lost Jordan Jefferson a few day after he had a good game against Jacksonville.
Time to give Evan Anderson and Sebastian Valdez a shot maybe

That's o.k. It's a good sign - they're making room for Quinnen Williams.

This dude wasn't bad for a guy coming off the bench in that final edge spot as a pass rusher(stinks in run defense). He showed a hell of a lot more than Robert Beal ever did.

It sucks cuz obviously we're beat to hell at the position right now but it's also hilarious seeing fans react like losing him is like trading away Charles Haley for crying out loud.

Nobody would care at all about this if we weren't so depleted at the position. Next man up. Sign someone off the street. Hell see what Aldon Smith is doing lol.
