We have plenty in this building

They seem intent on sticking with only 4 DE now. Guess that means they expect YGM back soon.

Gross Matos, Huff, Sam O, and Williams are the top 4. They obviously just see Gipson and Beal as emergency fill-ins.

Tbh Gipson has been better than Beal ever has. A street free agent probably would be.

With the below numbers and all the injuries, it's incredible this team is 5-3:

I don't know what's up with West being one of the inactive players today and now Elliot was banged up (did not return), perhaps they'll elevate Valdez and/or Anderson from PS

They're gonna have to. I forgot about Evan Aderson, he needs to play.

We got pushed around against the Texans. Even the staters like Williams and Collins looked bad and soft.

The elephant in the room, or lack of an elephant, was the absence of Bosa and Huff. Hunter and Anderson created so much havoc just by their threat that it screwed up the timing on a lot of things. That was made worse by the inexperience of the rookies. Too many moving pieces that have not been together enough to develop the rapport necessary to build a wall.
Giants pass rushers will create the same issues for Mckvitiz. He really struggles versus speed pass rushers

Watch them flip this around for the game against us but they're much weaker in the secondary and linebacker. Houston has studs across every level which makes it that much harder to attack them.

We SHOULD be able to run the ball against the Giants but I will never feel confident for any game this season.
Rest Elliot, elevate Valdez and Anderson... let's just try something different. Anderson shown flashes that he can get after it. Rotate Valdez just to see what he's got and maybe try him at DE for a couple of snaps. What's a couple of snaps gonna hurt Williams and Gipson is about all they have left on edge / DE.

Hung is day to day but if they want to rest him for Lambs then that's probably a good idea. Huff could be back by then. Huff and Hung are all the 49ers really have on edge to get after QBs. Maybe Gipson could step up since he's getting more playing time... we hurtin for certain

Givens getting pancaked by a fullback pretty much sums up our line
