Kalia Davis shooting the A gap on that counter play was filthy. He had a damn good game. Fred was in demon mode in the entire game. I'm kind of shocked by the assortment of runs the Seahawks ran at the 49ers defensive line. The 49ers see this s**t in practice every week. I'm surprised they didn't try to get vertical more.

Kalia Davis has gone under the radar with all of the hype and excitement about the rookie d-linemen. He's grown into a really solid player.

Yes. That's exactly what i meant by pushed around a bit. I didn't say they got steamrolled.

Pushed around literally on ONE drive. It was remedied immediately the next drive. I'd be curious to see their running #s if you took out that one drive.

I swear our fans expectations are unless we allowed 0 points and under 1 ypc it was a rough defensive performance.

Prior to final drive of theirs, darnold had under 100 yards passing, they had under 100 yards rushing with about a 3 ypc average. They had 13 points (including 3 they got by starting at midfield after pick).

We knew he was here, we just had no faith he'd be healthy enough to matter.

If an offense is going to let him tee off all day and shoot gaps like Seattle did, he's a very solid player because of his quickness and ability to get skinny in gaps.

It's the offenses that get vertical with their run game where he struggles mightily.

Got pushed around a bit but overall solid job

By giving up 84 on the ground to a team that refocused to want to run it this year and that a bunch of you were worried bc of pre season ?

For real, holding a team, especially one that wants to run the ball under 100 yards is a huge win and a lot of that starts up front with the line. Did these people not see Fred and Dee running around and making plays? That only happens when the D-line does there job to free up the LB's.

I think they did alright to decent and will be improving as the 2 interior rookies get more reps. I thought Mykel did fine on the edge containing the outside run, and I liked how they moved him inside on passing downs.

We all forget last year how Sorensen's defense couldn't get off the field and how helpless we were. Saleh brought some fire and did mix in key blitzes that made Darnold look bad. I thought at the end we should have brought a safety to help with JSN because that was their only hope.

Very good stuff from Kalia Davis and others on the dline.

Absolutely!

If he stays healthy all season, this will definitely be his breakout year commentators and everyone who don't know, now they know
Davis always has like at least one play a game where he flashes as a penetrator.

I said a bit. Bit means small amount. Nobody expected 0 yards. You are being way too sensitive here.

Saleh puts Bosa inside on the opening drive on moneydown, and he smokes the right guard. I like that wrinkle.

Also, unlike Seattle, New Orleans is opening the game getting vertical in the run game. It could be a real test for the DL today.
