No problem. It's easy to slip up and forget.

Its like in the Mc Kittrick days, 1980's-1999.. We'd get smaller quicker, nasty type guys that would cut block, scoup and sweep block, pull, etc.. ATHLETISM!! We used to take on; Bears, Giants, Cowboys Bigger D Lines with ease. And I think Bubba Parris and Harris Barton were the only high picks that worked out for us. The Steve Wallaces, fred Quillans, John Ayers', etc. were all 4th-12th round picks.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm deeply disappointed in the immaturity level in this thread. Sign one guy named Bevers and the sexual innuendo comes out. Pathetic

Goodwin didnt do much at buffalo, breida was undrafted, and he finds an undrafted QB in Mullens. I think with that record- Kyle deserves a bit of benefit of the doubt.
They also drafted McGlinchey and Pettis last year, plus have overhauled the defense for the most part. No one is saying Beavers is an all star, but he adds depth, you can't have all pros/pro bowlers at every spot.
where did i say pro bowlers, this again.. why is it. when some of us want a upgrade we get those words put into our mouths.. in case you have not noticed we have one guy worthy of pro bowl status on the line who is nearing the end. a nice second year guy and thats it. you make it sound like we DO have all pro guys at every spot.. and all we need to do is draft for depth. sad
We had one of the most dominant gap blocking OLines in the NFL in 2011 and 2012, and the offense still had problems in pass protection. With a lesser talented passel of folks last year, that offense wasn't too bad. With an even *worse* talent, Jimmy did decently in 2017. Point is that a QB will have to hold the ball until the pass protection breaks down or until the WR uncovers against pass coverage. JD illustrated in one of his excellent analysis of Jimmy getting sacked/hit because the WR couldn't uncover fast enough from man-to-man coverage. So a good portion of the QB hits last year probably is also the fact that the QB holds on to the ball too long, waiting for the WR to uncover. I don't disagree that there were pass protection breakdowns, so don't get me wrong. But I think drafting an OLineman in the 4th vs a Punter kinda is a wash with regards to this years OLine talent level in the 4th round and the fact that more talented WR's *should* make the QB's ability to throw it quicker, affect the performance of the OLine.
