Well he earned a pro bowl in 2024 and dude looked like he was going to have a hell of a season before he got hurt. 17 tackles, 4TFL, 2 sacks, 2 FF, and a fumble recovery in essentially 2 games

He's going to be 29 next season and his production has dropped while the money he's getting paid is going up. It's also his 3rd major ACL injury in his career. His Cap hit in 2027 is currently $52 million dollars...so yes I believe he's got to prove in 26' that he's worth that money or the 49ers need to decide if they should move on from a bad deal.
