Sort of like how Brock "owes" us in a way for missing half of the season after getting paid.

I'm not sure players who suffer major injuries think they owe the team actual money because they got hurt on the job, lol.

They may feel bad they couldn't be out there with their teammates. Completely different.

Some may feel a bit bad that they got hurt on the job and still got paid and may therefore be more open and flexible to negotiation.

Trading away Nick Bosa is insanity given the state of the defensive line and this team's draft history. They've literally proven they can't draft pass rushers other than the easiest pick that was teed up for them in Bosa, and people want to trade away the only one they've got.
Feel this perfectly exemplifies people who wanna trade Bosa

If anything, they may feel bad for their teammates that they couldn't be out there with them. But feeling bad for taking money from the team? lol no way.

Bosa is probably happy to have the contract he has cause he got hurt and was protected financially.

Bosa has nothing to feel bad about. He gives the team everything he has, trains super hard in the off season etc. he got an unfortunate injury that is out of his control. lol sucks but nothing to feel bad for, IMO.

as a fan, I feel bad for him cause he's such an incredible talent and this being his third ACL tear - he may never reach his full potential. Or may never be the same player. Who knows.

Nick has played very well when he's healthy. Unfortunately he's missed abut 27% of the games since he's been in the league. Twice he's missed nearly the entire season. I hope he makes a complete recovewry but eventually all thes surgeries and rehabs ar egoing to take a toll. As you noted he may never be the same player again. His brither has a similar unjury history and he's nowhere near the player he was when he first broke into the league.
