I said it and its burried somewhere here but he had a pretty good year last year in washington and was used as a traditional WR
he didnt have good QBS i think he had mariotta for most of the year. I mean Washington only had like 3k total passing yards so he got like 25% of all receiving yards

there was a very in depth film study on why those type of plays were called
he would use these types of run plays and the analyst called them "burn" plays where the goal is to give them the exact same setup multiple times later in the game use as a play action
That doesn't work in Madden so it doesn't work in a real football game.

There's a reason why no other team didn't even want to take a flyer on him. He was just sitting there. He's washed.

What a stupid decision. Why do we use draft capital on WRs.

we arent asking him to be a superstar anymore i am fairly confident he can be a huge contributor plus he brings a lot of attitude and positive vibes and is pretty good locker room guy for us. As a #2/3 WR i really like the signing. Especially because i think this pushes Stribling outside to the flanker role. Deebo should be the big slot role
He is a huge part of our recent history and success and deserves a ring with us

One got hurt. One looks promising very early but its early the other two are young but mid round picks. Deebo is1 year low money and we know he fits. You just dont want it to become a spot where they start force feeding him due to nostalgia.

Hopefully Deebo is mostly in the slot
Deebo playing the Z flanker role, Evans is your X split end, Stribling is your slot WR.
And we got depth/can move guys around.

Because we have one guy probably out of the year and another guy we signed who's currently hurt.
what's the f**king problem? 1 yr up to $7m for a guy to come in who knows the scheme and system? He wasn't dogs**t last yr, had 730 yards and 5 tds on a team that ran trash plays and the QB was hurt all yr.
It's always the typical few posters that consistently cry about everything they do….that s**t has to be exhausting at this pt. Go be a fan elsewhere and save yourself the constant outrage.

My biggest concern with this signing is Speed. Is Deebo fast enough to get separation we all know that was the big problem last season with the WR position.

Still looked like he has some juice last year. Fingers crossed they can squeeze a really good season out of him and the young WRs can step up to help offset loss of RP

Separation isn't just based off speed, route running and feel matter a ton.
he's not gonna be playing that X spot and will get those free releases. He's not gonna be "counted on" to be the man on those money downs like in the past. That's Evans and Kyle's play-calling.
dude is getting paid Kendrick Bourne money and it's august, you're not finding those elite separators in FA.

I think Deebo is a different receiver with a different role than our previous version, and everyone understands this. He will be a role player, not a feature.
His leadership and mentality and connection with the guys, as well as his knowledge of the system will help the team more than his production on the field, but i still look forward to watching him play.
The days of him running with gadgets are probably over, which is fine. We get mature, UNC, possession receiver Deebo. He's still a DAWG
