I am currently asking for my own curiosity of how the rest of the webzone feels about Jimmy G.
Last year I was pretty drunk and excited about our winning streak and bought a jersey of jimmy saying we finally got our guy.
Fast-forward to today, I feel I am more optimistic and hopeful, than I am sold or not sold on the guy. He had 4 years to learn under Brady/Belicheck. In his two years with us, I have not seen the progression I thought I would, particularly this year before his injury. Next year will be his 7th year in the NFL.

Are you sold on Jimmy G to be our starter for next 10 years?

Seriously? I mean, I expect stupid comments from susweel but, in so far as anyone else can assess the guy is the starter.

Im sold after rewatching the three games he played this year, he actually played pretty well, couple bad luck picks but jimmy is a stud who can read the field and and stand in the pocket. When he learns to move in the pocket a little better he is going to really show his talent.

Seriously, Jimmy is the future - I have no doubt he's here for the next 10 years.

How about we say 5 years. That I feel good about. 10 is way too long for a high confidence level with any player on this team

Anything can happen in today's NFL. I don't think you can plan for anyone to be around for 10 years at this point.
Anyone think these guys would be out of the league or off their teams this fast:
Reuben Foster
Kareem Hunt
Aldon Smith
Collin Kaepernick
These guys looked like NFL lifers when on the field. But the NFL now wants choir boys...
To tell you the truth the on-field product in the NFL sucks right now, today's stats are manufactured by rule changes. Lawrence Taylor, and a lot of other Hall of Famer's would have been kicked out of the league in today's NFL. I think Goodell thinks fans want to see choir boys play two hand touch but the ratings say otherwise.

If one of the new start up leagues allows and plays to the violence NFL past I think they will grow in popularity quickly. If I were the major investor in a new football startup league that's the angle I'd go. No player plays without signing a health safety waiver. Players get extreme discretion as to what they feel is an injury.

Anything can happen, but his release and short to mid accuracy gives him the perfect platform to be special when paired with a great offensive mind.
So I'd say his career will be heavily tied to Kyle's, I still have faith they'll both here for the long haul and have a lot of success.

Exactly, football is a dangerous game.
Play at your own risk.
Can you imagine getting $150 million to play in todays NFL?
