It looks like the first three draft picks played well. Warner looks like an eventual pro-bowler.

Logical post. Thank you.
But hey! Fkn Buckner! DPOY

On a positive note my daughter wanted us to lose this game because she said in all of our bad seasons we come out with a big win in week 1, get unrealistically hyped and then go like 5-11 or 2-14. She thinks if we lose week 1 we will have a much better season. So according to my daughter's reasoning...Here's to a Great Season!

Well first game is in the bag...we played hard, not so smart at times, but the real surprise was just how good that MN defense is...wow, they are way tougher than Jax... MN D is for real. We did good just to stay with them...right up until the bitter end.

A lot of people kept citing the Jacksonville game without considering the fact that Kyle has schemed against that style of defense every day in practice for the last three years. He knows precisely how to attack it. Mike Zimmer's defense is an entirely different animal.

As good as they are, with all the drops, TOs and injuries we had we were still able to move the ball on them. It's a loss but this says a ton about this young Niners team. We'll be ok

And was still getting guys busting wide open. Would have loved to see that entire game played with Goodwin. His speed is really needed in opening stuff up. Just off the top of my head, I don't recall seeing as many Yankee concept/Pin concepts as I'm use too with Kyle. (I'll let the film correct me if my recollection was wrong. Usually I'm pretty good as seeing them in game).
Case Keenum on his way to passing for 500 yards vs Seattle.

Same old Seahawks.

This is a top 10 team this year

I agree. They looked better today as a team than I expected. Lost their starting RB last week, lost their 1st and 2nd string RG today, along with last year's #1 receiver. It was still a one-possession game. We are a very young team that could be 1-1 after next week ... just like we were in 2011
Not even worried. That was a reaaally good team we just played and we had many chances. We will be fine. :)

AA showed up today. Our weakest area on defense was the slot (Williams), Witherspoon, coyle and the edge on passing downs.

Buckner, AA, Day and Jones were balling. Uncle Sherman going to be a pro bowler in a 49er uniform.

Witherspoon wasn't a weak spot. His coverage was pretty good the vast majority of the time. Even on the TD he had good coverage, just didn't get his hand up early enough to disrupt the pass.

Thielen in the slot and Dalvin Cook at RB are what killed them in the passing game. Diggs had a grand total of 43 yards receiving and nobody else had more than 18.

You gotta think that the loss of McKinnon really killed the short passing game. I don't think Kyle has faith in either Morris or Breida catching the ball out of the backfield. Play calling really suffered in the red zone with the runs up the middle and Jimmy missing wide open Kittle
