I wouldn't try and rush Warner back. It's unlikely he'll be at his best if he does make irt back and I can't see him making much difference if he's not really 100%. Not worth risking another injury.

I agree but even not at 100% physically his mental abilities are a game changer. Getting people lined up right, calling things out, etc.

Still unless it's safe I'd shut him down. I will say if we made the sb somehow, there is zero chance you're keeping him off the field

If it's the NFC championship maybe… SB you have to clear him. Our linebackers are so inconsistent and lost at times. Warner would take so much stress off Saleh and his return not only would be legendary if the 9ers won it all but the whole defense confidence and morale will be significantly boosted.

Lets not forget this is a man who played through an ankle fracture and got all pro last season
One name: Jerry Rice.

Jerry Rice did this as well and it did not work out well. Sometimes, you must protect people from themselves.

It was a different injury/rehab and whatnot....but I generally agree. Warner back on the field would bring a lot of juice as much as talent, but I wouldn't want it at the expense of him possibly setting him back further than the original injury did....if that is possible.
Do they let players take peptides? Hope he's on that Wolverine stack!

You know that. I know that. Yet reporters continue to parrot on the "Warner Will Be Ready for the Playoffs" storyline. Why? Who knows why? They're bored with everything else? No clue.

In the past, an Editor or News Director would provide a reporter with something called "assignments." In those days, reporters did not parrot off other publications or reporters. They covered real stories. Such as: highlighting a player or players on special teams. You don't see that anymore. The 49ers have some of the strongest special teams in the NFL, but not one reporter has taken the time to cover the players on those squads, nor the types of coverages that those players excel at. It's just one big mystery. Instead of in-depth coverage like that, we get lazy butts turning in "Warner Might Play This Season" BS. Why? It's the state of news coverage in general. It's fallen off a cliff. Instead we are treated to something from Lombardi and his "inside sources tell me" crap.

"Sources who wish to remain unidentified" = I made it up.
Hey Aiyuk are you watching?!?!
