Yeah man. 3rd means he's talented but raw and just needs time to develop properly over time. I'm down.

But hopefully Tomlinson + RG balls out so it's a moot point soon.

yup those were a lot of names I was checking out when looking at next yrs cap. I don't see how Gilliam, Mitchell, and Marsh make the team (Gilliam and Marsh combine are $9+ million with no dead money).

Some other names:

Richard Sherman-SF can save $8 million if he doesn't come back and play well (hope he balls only a $10 million cap hit)
AA- SF can save $9 million with no dead money (5th yr option).
Brock Coyle-save $1.8 million
Dekoda Watson-save $1.7 million

Going off OTC currently they could have $74.7 million with roll over...I think realistically they could shave off another $10 million putting them at $84ish million rolling into 2019. That's not too shabby with no real top end FAs to worry about resigning (we got Gould, Pinion, Kyle Nelson, and whatever Attaochu and Cooper do this yr). I hope they get a deal for Buck done end of the yr

edit:Forgot about MM and Pettis' contracts

Meant to add Watson to my tweet, Coyle has some base GTD for injury in 2019.

We have literally no big name FAs to be, Gould, Pinion, Nelson, Attaochu, and Cooper should/would be easy re-signings.

Absolutely. Even after paying Buck, we'd still be in position to frontload contracts again, restructure some or offer the most year-1 GTD money to FA's. We'll probably be top 5 in cap space again.

And by the year 3 off season, our work should be cut out for us. We should know EXACTLY what and who we need.

Today, that could be one top tier G & Elephant. Then in the draft, perhaps a stud WR, dominant pass catching TE, SAM/ER, T, CB and FS.

Buck should get a BIG extension, I could see them waiting till they exercise his option, but I'd hope they get a deal done when allowed, which is end of 2018 season.

Underrated CB, was surprised he went undrafted, wonder why 1yr deal, typically UDFAs require a 3yr deal, not sure if he was signed after the draft, and then cut, which would then allow 1yr deal.

Surprised they didn't sign earlier in the process with all of the interests they've shown. I wonder where they play him. Dude is short and stout.

I thought I read he did sign elsewhere at first? Don't quote me on that though. It also means we need to cut someone, right?

Yeah, my guess is K'wuan is going to have some serious competition this year.

SCB: K'Waun Williams; D.J. Reed, Emmanuel Moseley & Devron Davis

I think he signed with the Ravens? Yeah I like it he's a hard hitting DB...his pro day numbers were underwhelming but what ya gonna do.

Yeah, not totally official yet but bring him in and let him compete.

Just curious, what would everyone say currently is the biggest need for this team? Edge rusher?

No question IMHO.

1. True LEO and ER SAM
2. OL questions

Every other position has legit young talent and now, depth.

The season will go as 1. and 2. go.
Good stuff guys. Sounds like Davis should get a look at FS if he's fast enough?

At FS? Not the slot CB spot?

Definitely slot as well. Usually a FS has the ability to do both. Seems like that's what theyre thinking in DJ Reed. I'm also thinking you think Davis can gain some weight and get a shot at SS?
