Rd 2(#59) – Equanimeous St. Brown, WR, Notre Dame (Tall outside WR)
Rd 3(#70) – Austin Corbett, OG, Nevada (LG/RG)
Rd 3(#74) – Hercules Mata'afa, DE, Washington State (LEO/SAM)
Rd 4(#128) – Quenton Meeks, CB, Stanford (#4 CB)
Rd 5(#143) – Lorenzo Carter, OLB, Georgia (SAM)
Rd 6(#184) – Alex Cappa, OT, Humboldt State (Developmental OL)
Rd 7(#223) – Tyler Conklin, TE, Central Michigan (Pass Catching TE)
Rd 7(#240) – Richie James, WR, MTSU (Slot WR)

Thanks for the $ update AB.

I too went with St. Brown and Cappa. Love Corbett too. Toss up between R.Smith and Landry for me but would be happy with both. After Landry, there is no true Elephant so going with Hercules to play SAM/ER is a wise move. Then you're rotating Marsh and Attaochu at Elephant. Meeks is a solid fit. IMHO Carter goes quite a bit higher though. I don't know anything about Richie James. Does he had return ability?

Yes James could be a return man, very fast, smaller WR, like 5'9 ish I believe. I wouldn't mind Landry, I just feel MLB/WLB is a huge need, as I doubt foster is here past 2018. I feel like it's Aldon Smith all over again.

Some don't like Mata'afa, I do, like you, but if I were to pick another LEO there it would Duke Ejiofor of Wake Forest. I can see Carter going higher. Can't wait for Thursday-Saturday.

Waiting for the draft with feigned patience.
I just realized that a slew of Baalke's guys are in their final year:

Arik Armstead
Jimmie Ward
Eli Harold
Jarquiski Tartt
Trent Brown

amazing how the team has transformed.

Only remaining pre-Shanahan/Lynch guys are.

Jimmie Ward (2014 1st, Will make roster, probably gone in 2019)
Joe Staley (2007 1st, will mae team, heart of our OL)
DeForest Buckner (2016 1st, Baalke's best pick, should get paid in the next 2 years)
Zane Beadles (2015 UFA from Jags, 50/50 on if he makes the team, upside is versatility, downside is he's not that good as a starter)
Arik Armstead (2015 1st, Will make it, if he gets his 5th yr option picked up he will be here in 2019, but that's 50/50)
Garrett Celek (UDFA, Should make it, had a solid year especially when Jimmy G came in)
Joshua Garnett (2016 1st, makes it, but needs to show something)
Eli Harold (2015 3rd, Probably makes it as of now, but 50/50 if he's here in 2019)
Jaqusiki Tartt (2015 2nd, Starter, should get an extension if he plays well)
Kyle Nelson (FA Pickup, solid LS, should get extended)
Trent Brown (2015 7th, Should be extended, but I could see them letting him go if he doesn't play well enough)
Bradley Pinion (2015 5th, Makes it, probably gets extended)
Raheem Mostert (2016 Waiver Claim, Makes it as a gunner as of now)
Ronald Blair III (2016 5th, solid player, should make it, and have a future here)
Aaron Burbridge (2016 6th, way too many WRs ahead of him)

Whatre you insinuating you can't wait till all these guys are all gone as well after this year?

I know your answer is no, soooo?

True, but neither Baalke or Harbaugh (around when most were taken) were not WCO enthusiasts. Then you throw in a year with Tomsula and one with Kelly...mixed messages and needs. Eliminating all the injury picks is half the battle. I thought the niner doctors might be evaluating and giving the thumbs up but...evidently that was not the case.

Edit: forgot to say...Thank you AB! Always good to read your analysis.

Agree with both of you. I really am on pins and needles as to who they will take at the LEO position. Landry? Davenport? Obo? Key? etc... That will tell me a lot as to how Saleh views this defense. If he goes big heavy like Davenport vs. light and fast like Landry - then I know he's playing this defense differently from Seifert/Carroll. Nothing wrong with that, but I think that's just not keeping the defense up to date. If he goes Landry-like, then I know we're in for a defense that's going to primarily attack and stop the pass vs the run.

I thought all we did in the Kilgore trade was move up in the 7th, not get an extra 7th.

Here's an article, it may be wrong though. Wiki says there's only one 7th rounder, but they could be wrong.

MIAMI – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have acquired center Daniel Kilgore and a 2018 seventh-round pick (227th overall) from San Francisco in exchange for a 2018 seventh-round pick (223rd overall).

I tried to nail down medical on landry, emailed a couple guys that could have known but no luck. Do you all have anything ...any tiny clue at all?
