Garbage.

You can't just make things up and say it's gospel.

I'm not saying he is an All Pro but he is a solid, respected veteran on the team. We have much bigger issues than trying to replace him.

actually that is our number one issue and that is to find a better center and assorted others on that putrid line. jimmy made look better. his play had not indicated solid in my opinion

I don't get it. I just don't get you!

Why won't you believe that Kilgore is a solid 3rd string talent at center

I think he is more likable than respected. Guy was our worst starter on the line for most of the season. Go look back at the film reviews of this past season game by game and you will find a consistent amount of failure on his part.

I don't see much of a difference in Westburg vs Kilgore. Plus Westburg cannot stay healthy. Do we want to spend money on a guy who has injury question marks?

There is one player who would be vastly better than Kilgore and that is Ryan Jensen. But do we want to spend top dollar on a guy and he has to learn a whole new system and maybe isn't the greatest fit?

I'm all for upgrading the roster but making changes just for the sake of it makes no sense.

I'm in the minority of people in here who say Kilgore isn't as bad as some make him out to be. With better guard play around him he will look much better.
Yes if the Niners could sign Jensen... sign the man. I don't see him having much of an issue in positioning from one offense to another.

I like Kilgore, but if we can get a reasonable upgrade, I'd be all for that, too.

O he is reasonable and he has a slight mean streak
Once again if we don't make an effort to improve on all 3 interior positions then we really messed up this offseason. I'd re-sign Kilgore but not hand him a starting job. In fact I'd be looking for him to be a backup. Best thing for this team is to see him on the bench.

Sign a center in free agency then draft someone like Ragnow who can play G to start then move to C. Then take Cappa where he can develop to replace Brown/Staley.

There is great depth at OL in this class. Let's use that to our advantage.
Really curious to know how Kilgore would fare with Garrett and say Nelson next to him, healthy Brown.

The outside zone takes time to learn.. Kilgore and even Fusco improved as the season went on. Didn't Tomlinson improve towards the end as well?

Kilgore was ragdolled on a regular basis in pass protection, not sure if a better understanding of the stasys fixes that, he is just to weak at the point of attack.

Meant Garnett btw obviously. Gotcha I never really keyed in much during stretch where I believe heard he improved.

I think he's salvageable. Just needs to shed some of that fat and become more light on his feet.

He may be an ok back up but that's his ceiling right now. He's more of a liability than an asset at this point.
