Shove aside Detroit Lions we sharing that glorious honor of both finishing 0-16

Weeks 9 and 10 are bigger chances IMO. Both are at home.

The Giants are 0-5 and lost their receiving corps. We took it head-to-head against the Cardinals in their house.

Nothing is a guaranteed win with this team but we definitely have a chance in those games.

I would like for us to not have to rationalize why it is ok we finished with a historically bad record year after year. 5-11, 2-14, probably from 0-16 to 4-12 this year. Is that something to be proud of? We're Cleveland West. Constantly rebuilding, constantly looking for signs of improvement and hoping for a better future. Constantly a laughingstock to opposing fans. Just 3 years removed from Jed saying that we only hang Super Bowl banners.

Sad to see how many fans around here are ok with this and happy with our performance this year.

I think you are missing the point. The optimists aren't rationalizing losing because we accept losing. The optimists accept the fact that the last regime left us with nothing to build around... no up and coming qb, no WR prospects to develop, questionable cornerbacks to develop, an OL that people are calling out draft picks as busts (minus that we got really lucky with a 7th round dart throw) and questionable linebacker picks. All the pessimists compare this season to Harbaugh and his winning culture but much easier to have a winning culture when you have future hall of famers, probowlers and all pros in their prime like Alex Smith, Staley, Bowman, Willis, Crabtree, Vernon Davis, Iupati, J Smith.

What great players in their prime were inherited for this season? Bucker and Brown? Include Hyde and Robinson if you want to be ultra optimistic?

Fortunately, there are signs of new players to build around/with: Taylor, Kittle, Foster, Breida (feel like he has solidified himself at least as a change of pace/3rd down back), Tomlinson (probably too optimistic but really interested to see how he does after this season and an offseason in this system), Juice (maybe over-paid but position locked down for a while), Garcon (the veteran presence needed that will hopefully develop our future #1 that we get next year).
How many times have I heard a press conference and heard "there are no moral victories in the league" lol.. come on guys I'll take getting blown out any day it's more clear cut then being picked up then let down. And honestly that worries me more cause it wasn't long ago that we were 7-9 one year, thinking we're on the cusp. Then the same team with time and experience goes 5-11 the next year. We should be 4-1 that hurts more. Progress in game situations is what I'm looking for not just a close game that we end up losing the same way we lost last week and so on and so forth lol

These close games show what a little bit more talent and a real QB could do for us. We aren't there yet but will be in a year or two.

A janitor. Hahahahaha. Was at the game tonight. Pretty much Lucas oil stadium is beautiful. Roof was closed today due to rain. Levi's is a Joke. It's hard to have a home field advantage when half the seats have a front row view of the surface of the sun. Good one Dorks. Worst owners in sports. Hoyer is a one man dumpster fire with a s**t show inside. For most of that game he was awful. Needed to take himself out the dumpster.

The modern fan's obsession to turn football into arena football never ceases to amaze me.

I truly believe that my man. Also just want to the staff running the ship also correcting their mistakes that contribute to the losses as well.. if that doesn't happen better QB or all pro roster won't matter cause in a close game you'll find yourself coming up short every time due to the same mistakes.. we all remember the "dream team" and that Philly team was stacked on paper.. I just hope they win some games cause I know we're capable of it

How'd the Cards do this week?

Doesn't the Cards crapping the bed on the road support the idea that SF has a chance to defeat them at home in a few weeks?

Lol yeah I was very confused by the point of his post. Thought he was genuinely asking for a bit...

Just found another thread...
How do you lose to the Colts? ... Glad I didn't watch this junk.
