49ers working out DB Leon Hall today, per source. He also auditioned 3 months ago. 10-year vet would add experience to young secondary
(Kolohe, where you at?)

Wouldn't mind at all Hall's veteran presence in the secondary if this coaching staff feels he can still play well.
if we sign Hall then we get a new secondary grade.... C+
With enough pass rusher id gladly settle for a B lol.
Hall then would become the #4 CB, Spoon #5 and inactive.
Colbert,Ward,Jerome all can play CB as well.
I could see this. Rookie CBs typically take a long time to develop so I'm not expecting to see much of Witherspoon until the 2nd half of the season.

Good call.

Of course he may have done at least one of those last week, nobody knows for sure.

Wondering the same thing...Jerome is listed as the primary backup so I wonder if he gets the start assuming ward isn't ready?

This ... I would think that they hope he plays. He's the new 49er glass man, since Ailington left.

The 49ers are the only team in the league that has their perimeter CBs switch sides of the field throughout the game w/o shadowing. Rare.
