Kittle was open for 3 TDs easy. He got 1 but damn.
It seems like in close/tight games, our QB's tend to play more conservative. I don't know if this is a QB preference or coaching point but it's something to watch with Brock now too (small sample size).
All previous games, I agree. But last game? Just 1 scripted deep shot and that was intercepted?
Yea. He was 1 of 5 on passes 20+ yards. He also missed 2 or 3 more where he decided to check it down a little early. So its not like they weren't being drawn up. We just were not hitting them like we were in weeks past.
Yup. And maybe it's just me, but I think that showed a lot of maturity on his part esp. for a rookie QB who are more prone to playing hero ball right out of the gates. He's playing within the context of the game, within himself and his playmakers and that's special. He'll still take his shots too though.
True. The raiders threw a lot of disguised coverages at him. Which is probably why he struggled early in the game. The way he bounced back tells me that he made the proper in game adjustments. Forget that he is a rookie. I don't know if we have had a QB under Shanahan who has played with such poise.
100%. No question about it. I can't even begin to express the level of his poise. It's just unreal. Elite.
