Team is 2-0 to start this season, with both winds coming on the road. Couple that with all of our injuries and I am even more optimistic about this season than I was before. The defense is going to do nothing but get better and better all year.

Saleh really changed when he was with the Jets. He got a lot more flexible with how he schemes and calls a defense.
Also ... how good will they be when their rookies have 8 or 10 games under their belts and the young non-rookies have more experience (including Mustapha)?

The Robert Saleh Effect#SF finished 28th in YAC EPA allowed under Sorensen last season. Through the first two weeks 2025, Robert Saleh's squad sits at #1 in the league defending YAC. pic.twitter.com/3lJy9I0fjp

Sorensen to Saleh
Campbell to Dee Winters are two factors helping this... If they can keep up their high level coaching and play throughout a whole season, look out!

Legitimately Campbell was worse than Sorensen. Why tf was he still playing.... One of the worst LBs I've ever seen. Moved like a DE

Uncle Robert, make sure these guys clean up the tackling this week thanks.
He's never really cared about tackling. He wants the player to get there as fast as possible and hit and if possible punch the ball out and only then if possible tackle them. But he does teach that if you are the first person there, don't worry your teammates are behind you.

How is it that we all saw Campbell SUCK from day 1 yet they kept pushing him out there for 14 WEEKS until he full on admitted he sucked and quit the NFL mid-game?

This team is very, very lucky they are massively better on defense this year. As compared to last. With our offense injured and struggling. This is what is carrying us. They hold down the other team and get the ball back to give you opportunities. It's literally why we are 3 - 0.
We spent the last 2 drafts rebuilding the D. Proud but not shocked.

This defense will only get better as the season goes. Hopefully the offense will begin to get players back starting next week with Purdy, Robinson & Jennings against the Jags
