I'll be honest, I didn't anticipate our defense playing this well early on. Still tons to clean up. But I've been super impressed with the energy and effort across the board. Saleh is a great coach. You can tell he cares about his guys and they love him.

Feels like our other DCs just hoped our guys would play better than the other team. Didn't scheme anything to put them in a good position to succeed.

I wish Robert Saleh would become Kyle's spagnulo or Seifert. Imagine how successful Saleh and Kyle would be if they had a 8 year run together? took them three years to make a superbowl contendor when they started with absolute crap.

He'll have more opps to become a HC but I hope he decides to stick around for a while. He seems a lot happier doing DC here with Kyle than he did as HC. al though I imagine he will want that challenge again. We should do whatever we can to keep him.

Would be funny if Saleh leaves and we DeMeco back. lol

well at least this generation had one of the fundamental cosmic truths spelled out for them in black and white.

Can a Wilks or Sorensen level DC take an elite defense and keep it elite?

No.

Simply No...all the talent in the world does not make the defense. You can hand a mid tier DC a historically great defense like the 2022 unit, and it will suffer.

Seems obvious, but the prevailing thought for a long time was the players made the coach....

Funny that you can plug a Saleh right back in with a ton of young guys and they are already winning games with the D again....

It's crazy how timing works because if Salad was our DC instead of Wilkos we easily win that SB. Need the stars to align and bring McDaniels back once he's canned

McDaniel was the running game coordinator for Kyle too ... and that part of the game NEEDS some help.

I'd welcome McDaniel back and unlike Saleh, I can't see McDaniel getting another chance. He had plenty of talent, on both sides, to work with in Miami. Remember the stuff floating in social media on what the Dolphins got in the Trey Lance trade? With that said, Mike will have his pick of OC jobs.

Robert Saleh has made the Defense solid again in only one offseason. And with a lot of rookies or new starters!

The D's problem was Brock Purdy
Defense still only gave up 19 points.

If Kyle, Brock and ST's done their job Saleh could have talked smack right back at Duvaaaaal.

This dude walks by Saleh and says nothing, and then when he's a safe distance away, he turns around and chirps. Big talk from a guy who literally looks like Quasimodo.

I dunno, Salehs defense was getting gashed on the ground.
