You realize you have three options as a fan…cope with not getting a ring, stop being a fan right or end it all.

I assure you no fan complaining about the team online has ever been able to reverse the course of history and post their team to a SB victory they didn't actually get in reality.

So as long as we're in here posting and still supporting the team we're all coping with those loses.

s**tting on Kyle is how I cope.

I think your analysis and critiques are quite thoughtful.

We shall not be silenced into mediocrity!

BRAH... you out numbered here ... you out numbered !!

I know. But they won't stop me.

i just finished the rise of the 49ers on amc. It brought a tear to my eye. The desire to win by debartolo. The genius of Walsh.

There was a snippet in there. bill walsh didn't have the best oline. And he knew he couldn't move the opposing dline. So he developed the west coast offense with short timing routes with three step drops to get past the dline. Such an innovator. The start of the dynasty was that 35-7 comeback vs the saints in 1980. Never saw the niners today with shanahan do anything like that.

then I thought about shanahan and York I wanted to vomit.

EVEN before I scroll down after reading this post of yours, I already feel the next pages from the Shananigans will be full of EXCUSES...

ama watching it tonite!!

GO NINERSSS !!!

I'm sorry to tell you this...but you're not special. Jed York is not reading your posts on here to make his decisions just like he's not reading mine.

You are the minority with your thoughts here. If you follow this thread there is like 10 of you at most who repeat the same crap over and over and fluff yourselves up when doing it trying to pretend you're somehow speaking for the majority of fans.

Yes 35-7 comeback win, week 14 game the year we went 6-10 is what started the dynasty, forget they lost 35-10 the next game and then lost another one to go 0-2 after that comeback win.

Drafting of Ronnie Lott, Eric Wright and Carlton Williamson the draft after that season had nothing to do with it...

And btw while not a 35-7 comeback, they had a similar type of game in 2017 against the Rams being down 34-20 heading into the 4th quarter. Which is actually a bigger deficit at that point in the game than the 49ers had in that Saints game. If not for the BS OPI call on Trent Taylor 49ers win that game and that was with Brian Hoyer as the QB, not Joe Montana.

But yes...nobody here will argue against how great Walsh/Montana/Eddie D combo was in those days. It was magical and all of us here would kill to have that happen again. However times are different. The NFL is different. Football has come a long way since the late 70s/early 80s. Bill was a true genius and innovator. What he was able to do with the WCO was not only get an advantage on where the NFL was at the time but also put himself into a great position to bring in players for his scheme that other teams weren't as excited by. It's similar to the Denver Broncos under Alex Gibbs/Mike Shanahan reaping benefits of modernizing the zone blocking scheme and getting all those players and dominant RBs/OLs from it.

Problem is eventually teams adjust, your coaching tree spreads and now more teams are looking for similar skill sets and with the salary cap in play today you cannot keep all your top players.

You guys refuse to open your eyes and look around the league. There are 32 HC in the league. 10 of them have ties to Shanahan whether they're guys who worked under him as HC/OC or worked for guys who learned from him and got HC gigs.

All of them are trying to find similar players on offense and in some cases on defense as well. Wanting to get rid of Kyle Shanahan right now is just stupid since odds are you'll be looking to replace him with someone from his coaching tree who may not even be as good.

Bottom line is... Shanny wont win one here.. it's FATE... it's like Dungy in Tampa... Andy in Philly..

or you never know... Shanny may be the next Bud Grant... Dan Reeves... Marv Levy.. all are very good coaches, but the 0 wins in the Super Bowls just were not meant to be...

.. TIME TO MOVE ON... TIME TO MOVE ON..

With it's history? WTF are you talking about? I went to 9er games at Kezar, was in the stands for the 80/81 season. Saw the catch. I remember this team being 'loveable losers' for many years. They flirted with playoff success a bit in the early seventies, but they never made it very far. So when you say "with their history" I get confused because their history isn't one of dominance, minus that 10 years span when we had a HC, QB, and roster that was on fire. These past 8-9 years with KS at the helm have been such a blast, getting into the tournament nearly every year has been great for us 9er fans. Quit s**tting in the bed and enjoy the ride, it doesn't last forever.

Thank you! The reality is there isn't a single franchise in the NFL where they're won more championships than they lost or didn't even make it there.

The idea that fans can't enjoy seasons where they win lots of games is ridiculous. You'd be one miserable person if all you were allowed to celebrate or enjoy was SB seasons. Like why even give your energy to such conditions?

You have no idea what will or won't happen. Right now Kyle isn't going anywhere. Feel free to come back when your prediction comes true.

Do you mean, he'll be watching next year's Super Bowl at home again, or do you mean, he won't be fired? But I fully agree with you on both. He ain't going anywhere..

how do you save this exchange of our posts til Feb 02, 2027 ??

I have a feeling that next year, you'll be giving me the same advice.

Why keep Kyle when you can get a guy who's never won a big 10 title let alone anything else

Flecks went from a hot coaching candidate, looking like a sleep deprived older McVay brother ten years ago

Off duty cop from Mankato taking in a game

My squad isn't Appalachian State. Which is his level.
