What by trading Wilson lol? Good for them moving a QB most teams wanted at the time.

I hate them almost as much as the cowboys , which is why I HATE where we are at right now.

These back in the day posters need to suck a fart out Joe Montana's ass and get over it lol. I mean that's why im a 49ers fan, but that s**t that was forever ago…the league is totally different. Measured in championships is silly logic given the only way you can have a dynasty these days is if you luck into having a generational QB.

and yes talk about about hypocrisy with harbs 🥴

"………the only way you can have a dynasty these days is if you luck into a generational QB."

like Sam Darnold, right. Your ridiculous comment is about to go up in smoke in a couple weeks.

Kyle's critics have made up their minds - not winning a Super Bowl is a fireable offense. It doesn't matter how close he gets and the horrible luck he's had with the sheer # of injuries to critical players, the rate of lost fumbles, etc. They want blood, and the easy solution to a terribly complicated problem is always what angry/shortsighted people desire.

Well, it certainly was for the Bills and the Ravens and may well have been a factor is Tomlin stepping aside. I suspect Kyle is safe and as long as he's around, I suspect Lynch will stay. However, I think you could make an argument for the team doing what the Bills did, which is move their GM up to President of Football Operations and put themselves into a position to hire a new GM.

While I'm not as rabid as some posters in here about the shortcomings of the team's drafts during the Lynch era, I think it's become pretty clear that they need to do a better job in that area and think you can make the argument for bringing in someone with a fresh perspective. But then that raises the question of how much responsibility the team's scouting department has to bear for their underwhelming drafts. I don't follow college football at all, but it seems like every year there are players the 49ers are in a position to pick that go on to have a much higher impact than the players they end up choosing. Maybe that whole part of the operation needs an overhaul.

But Seahawks aren't a dynasty? lol what
Fire Shanahan and replace him with who? In the revolving world of these recycling head coaches, I don't find anyone who is at least interesting.

Lol I love it every time this pops up...

Just sign shanahan to a lifetime contract at this point because nobody could ever replace him or come close.

The first two had elite, Top 5 NFL QBs for the better part of a decade and did nothing with them. 0 SB appearances. And McDermott was mostly the scapegoat for a s**tty GM.

Tomlin hasnt had a single playoff win since Kyle became a head coach. Overall he is 3-9 in the playoffs without Bruce Arians. It was time.

With all due respect, I will appreciate it if anyone can just skip the platitude and just come up with an answer to who's coach is considered a viable replacement for Shanahan.

It's on the front page. I didn't go hunting for it. Some chinks in the armor me thinks.

There's 50 versions of that in Philly calling for your boys head. So what?

Agree.

1. We have a coach that won 13 games, missing almost half of his opening day roster.

2. Defense gives up points like crazy but teams still want to interview Saleh, coming off his Jets tenure. Steve Spagnuolo during the Chiefs dynasty couldn't even get an interview.

3. Our non playcalling OC gets interview requests.

4. Teams keep signing our free agents (see Denver and the Colts).

5. Teams keep poaching the front office.

6. 9 - 5 playoff record.

So the league respects our front office, coaching staff, and players. But yeah- fire Shanahan.
