I wish we would improve at center. Brendel signed through 2026, and we know the team won't move away from him for anything other than injury. One thing that bothers me about the O Line is the lack of consideration for improving it. The starters are penciled in until they get injured or contracts expire.

Brendel doesn't make so much that they can't add the right guy.

I remember watching the 49ers in the 80s and the way they were able to dominate week after week. Walsh designed an offense that was way ahead of what the defenses were designed to stop. It took several years before teams were able to bring in ther right type of palyers and design a defense that could slow them down. I recall Bill saying shortly before he passed away that he would have to design a differnet offense to cointer the new defenses that were being used.

Seattle spent the last 3 or 4 years drafting players that could fit a defense designed to stop what Kyle and McVay are doing. It looks like this year they've finally accomplished that. At least with the Niners. Now it's time for Kyle and John to start bringing in the speed they need to counter those defenses. Maybe Kyle needs to use the off season to come up with some new wrinkles to confuse them. The running game isn't producing the same big holes it was a few years ago. The short passes aren't getting the same YAC as they were.

Better, faster players and some different looks. Let's see what happens.
We need to stop Seattle from manhandling our oline with just 4 guys. We did the exact same thing in the past (Bosa,DeFo,Armstead,Ford). It comes down to physical ability and talent. Everyone other than Trent was abused.

It's coaching when the players can't do their one job and tackle a kick returner. Because of course it is.

Players a robots don't you know this? Why do we pay players if talent or execution from a player doesn't matter?

Eagles didn't manhandle the o line and they have more talent up front than Seattle does. Difference was receivers couldn't get open vs Seattle consistently. That's what needs to change.
We need Kyle to take notes on how McVays offense beats the blitz. They beat it multiple times by just stopping in the vacated area

I'll admit I turned off the game in the middle of the 3rd but from what I remember Purdy was running for his life. Of course a fully healthy Aiyuk and Kittle would have helped but that dline was toying with our guys. And I beg to differ - Reed/Murphy/Williams/Lawrence > Ojomo/Davis/Carter/Phillips.

Seattle wasn't blitzing brah. Our WRs couldn't separate, no one was getting open at all…and that play above has everything to do with the QB and WR understanding where the blitz is coming from. That's why you don't blitz Stafford

It must be nice having a receiver as good as Puks

Great find. But too bad SEA wasn't blitzing.

I'm sure a lot of fans around the league say the same thing about Kittle. Funny that both lasted until the 5th round. I guess a lot of teams missed on those two.

Philly's DL manhandled people all yr when healthy. I'm taking carter over anyone in Seattle and I was a big Murphy fan.

acting like those DLs are in different tiers is simply not true. Brock for sure was on the move a ton, no one is sitting back in the pocket all game vs Philly or Seattle regardless of the OL.

Kyle has become too dependent on CMC.

As has the team and roster. We need playmakers in addition to pass rushers.

Clearly the plan wasn't giving CMC 150 targets heading into this yr.. BA turned into a b***h, our young WRs couldn't figure out s**t and everyone else was playing injured all damn yr.

Kyle made chicken salad with chicken s**t.

Options are slim when you keep drafting chicken s**t

Never said they were, but it's the offseason now and it's something Kyle needs to learn

Yea, and Seattle's DL isn't built to last. That's an old group outside of Murphy. A lot of those dudes are seeing a resurgence that likely won't last past this year. Like Jarran Reed didn't do s**t with the Packers, and the 49ers can't block this dude to save their lives.

Eagles' DL is going to be a problem for a minute.
