I don't think Shanahan is perfect. I have my issues with him. But I'm not going to claim Mike McCarthy is a better HC than him simply because McCarthy won a SB. I'm not going to claim Mike McDonald is better than him cuz he was able to beat Kyle's team with a healthy squad bringing his record against Kyle to 2-2. Ironically both the wins McDonald has 49ers were missing key players, including Nick Bosa.

I'm sure if you actually brought in real concerns/issues with Kyle to the conversation instead of using hypotheticals or hyperbole you wouldn't get the reaction that you get.

Hes getting the exact reaction he wants thats his and many others entire motivation.

Not having Trent or Pearsall(or another WR who can do what he can like Aiyuk) is clearly a problem vs their defense as good as they were playing. But we had plays that we could've made, just didn't. As bas as it was it wasn't a total beat down. And yes I also think George was still dealing with his injury from the Colts game.

The biggest thing for us next year is getting Bosa, Fred and Mykel back. Hopefully Nick Martin isn't dealing with concussion issues and takes the offseason seriously to get back and challenge for a starting job.

I think on defense we definitely need depth with pass rushers as well as safeties who can actually play well...

Offense we need an X so Pearsall can be WR2. We'll see what Cowing/Watkins can provide as depth and of course...OL.

Tonges is good as a receiver but he's not a good blocker. Scheme wise he's basically TE3. How many 3 TE sets do we run? That takes Juice off the field.

Getting rid of juice is addition by subtraction.

The same thing as jennings. 7 of purdys 10 interceptions this year have come while targeting Jennings... That should tell you something right there.

Mcaffrey has no burst anymore either.

The offensive line and the game plan wasn't the reason the Seahawks just crushed the niners. It's the fact that you had no one to stretch the defense and keep the safeties from creeping up. Then you had slow mcaffrey working his season average of 3 ypc...

Coaching staff needs to make changes no stay the same and keep slamming their heads against a wall.

Basically everyone sucks except for the next guy. Same logic a bunch of people have here wanting to fire Shanahan. The next guy will definitely be better...

Whatever the reason, good or bad, Shanahan has one for not playing Tonges more when Kittle is healthy. Him not being a great blocker is one of them. Luke Farrell gets more snaps when Kittle is active.

Whether you like it or not Juszcszyk provides schematic advantages that Kyle uses to help the offense. Tonges doesn't.

No it should be obvious to anyone watching the games tonges has talent above a third string tight end. The dudes making toe tapping touchdown catches and finds the hole every time he's on the field.

It's lack of creativity from shanahan that's the problem. Which is basically what you're alluding to.

The thing that's amazing is there's already rumors that the bills might fire mcdermott if they don't win the SB this year.

Him and shanahan have very similar results yet you hear opposite stories. Both fail to win SB and have some level of success in the "other games"

Shanahan is a great play designer. He's lucky to have Brock purdy who is undoubtedly a great QB.

He has big weaknesses though. The dudes terrible at planning for specific players, his own or opponents, clock management is bad. Even creativity beyond his basic play sheet sucks.

That's why we never saw Mason and mcaffrey on the field at the same time. Won't see tonges with kittle etc...

Dude gets lost in the trees and misses the forest all over the place.

Every year he falls farther behind new and upcoming peers.

He's done enough this year that it won't even be considered for a couple more years entertaining bringing in someone new.
