that's a helluva way to maximize your roster Kyle.

What's wild is that we've been clamoring for a good backup TE for an eternity. Now we have one…and we don't play him.

I made this same point earlier. Kyle plays favorites. He sticks to the script and runs his players into the ground. Happened with Kittle, happened with Deebo, happened with CMC.
He was going to start Trey Lance over Jimmy and Brock even though he said everyone saw Brock was the best one in practices.

Then Dallas evaluated him with no favoritism and decided he was worthy of being their third string

He is good enough to make the playoffs and keep getting extensions but he isn't good enough to take that final jump.

Shanahan is the Prescott of the coaches.

Lol the Prescott comparison . If you are going to compare him coming up short in SB's to a player, Prescott is the last guy you should choose.

Case of double plagiarism, lol.
I heard it on grants show.
I knew it was a low number but not THAT low.
it's not like tonges is some scrub. Dude can catch. And he as the feet of a receiver. How can anyone argue that he couldn't have made a difference last night? I would have at least seen an attempt to use him.

Lol Dak has won like 2 playoff games.
Good call NFL this game was much better than ours

I just can't make sense of no snaps for Tonges. He was just your second leading receiver against Chicago. Seahawks have also struggled defending tight ends this season.

Kyle getting cute before a big game and changing things that were working in order to get things like that double lateral screen pass on the field bs.
Kyle going to show the real play book in the NFC championship game.

Now you're going into next year depending on a DE with a history of 3 knees, to hold up. There is nothing else on that line, except run stuffers. You traded away Huff and Greenlaw. What is the point of this franchise. 32 years. 32 years. 32 years.

Some of you guys come in here simply just to complain. You're contradicting your thoughts in your own post.

You're concerned about injuries but in the next sentence complain about the team "trading" away Huf(Huff is the guy we traded for who is on the team...who also happens to be only a pass rusher which contradicts your run stuffer only point) and Greenlaw - both players who have a large injury history who also have nothing to do with line play since they're a safety and a linebacker.

What is the point of this franchise the man says...as they're in the playoffs despite crazy impact injuries in a retool season.

Exactly all these guys b***hing cuz it's not how Walsh did it forget that Bill coached in vastly different times. Speed of the game was different. Rules were different(I always say under those rules Kyle would've won the SB in 23 with that FG in OT)

No concerns about players on social media, lots of bad stuff could be swept under the rug. No analytics or all this information for opposing teams to try and break down what you're doing at a faster rate.

And the biggest - no salary cap.

Something tells me if it wasn't for the cap we'd have kept several key players like Greenlaw and Hufanga and never would've gotten into a bad spot with Aiyuk and he's likely out there playing for us.

When you're able to retain your top guys and can still spend to keep the quality depth that makes things a lot easier for coaches.

What about rules changes that now greatly benefit offenses?

QB protection rules that would have extended Joe or Steve's careers, thus giving us the chance to win many more SB's back then?

Hate to break it to you bud but Steve Young wouldn't be on the 49ers under today's rules.

Same old tired story. Always blaming injuries. You blame Greenlaw's injury for losing the SB in 2023. So riddle me this Batman….if we know and Kyle knows that we are one player injury away from going from a great unit to a mediocre/bad unit, then why didn't he think about depth going into this season ? If Greenlaw's loss cost us a SB according to you (even with Warner playing in that game), and watching Campbell s**t the bed last year rendering the LB unit incompetent, why didn't Shanahan address the problem accordingly ? Why didn't he address the oline and Dline ?

or are you going to defend him again and say he had nothing to do with personnel decisions on the team ?

can't keep defending the guy for same mistakes over and over. All you cry about is injuries injuries injuries but then ignore that injuries have plagued the team for years and it's part of the head coach's job to have reasonable depth to cover up for those injuries

Try using your head instead of letting your Shanahan hate cloud your eyes.

He didn't address OL or DL? No Trent Williams, Nick Bosa or Mykel Williams in the game. Why didn't he address LB? You mean like bringing in Nick Martin, Eric Kendricks on top of Bethune last year?

Like are you ignorant on purpose? The team made the changes they could with the draft and free agency, as well as trades.

Those injuries you're quick to throw away like nothing while ignoring the simple fact that you have a roster limit and when you lose those guys there isn't a well you can go to with all this extra talent on it.

The mental gymnastics you guys to through may seem impressive but they just make you look incredibly foolish.

Nick Martin ? lol the guy that was inactive most of the season before going to IR ?
Eric Kendricks off the streets ? Dallas's leftovers ?
Bethune ?

this is your defense for not accounting for losing Greenlaw and 🤞 Warner never gets hurt?

You're a Kyle apologist. You just can't hold him accountable for anything. It's blatantly obvious when you blame everyone and anything but him for those 2 SB losses, but then turn around and crap all over Harbaugh for losing to Baltimore…

You're a troll. I refuse to believe that someone who claims to be old enough to watch the Walsh SBs is unable to understand basic logic and team building in the NFL.
