reads like you NEED to find something....anything to criticize Shanny. lol

Browns might have gotten the ball back with like 20/30 seconds to score 18 points.![]()
I encourage you to go coach a youth football team.
In game coaching without a birdseye camera from the couch is way harder than people think it is.
Even the best coaches have make mistakes or outthink themselves.
I have made some bad decisions that felt genius in the moment.

Vrabel deserves it more than Johnson. Johnson walked into a much better situation.
And Shanny over Vrabel... I like Vrabel and he's doing a fantastic job, but Shanny is doing something more spectacular than any HC, there's no debate imo. He's also doing it with two of Patriots' rejects
Shanahan will never win one unfortunately.
He's been kind of c*ck blocked every time he had a real shot at it.
Lost to John Harbaugh in 2019 when he completely turned the 49ers around and has us as the #1 seed with Jimmy G, Harbaugh rode the coattails of Lamar's epic MVP season. We made the SB, they lost to the Titans by 16 points at home and went one and done.
Lost to Brian Daboll in 2022 when he had us on an absolute run after losing QB1 and QB2 that year and I really think we win it all that year if Purdy's elbow isn't destroyed on that first drive vs the Eagles. Arguably our best defense and offense that was pretty darn good as well.
Lost to Kevin Stefanski in 2023 when we were cruising through the season for the most part. Ironically Stefanski won it by getting the Browns to the playoffs with multiple QB injuries.
So I don't know how Shanahan will be able to win it. He's literally seen all these other coaches steal it from him doing what he's done(outside of having an MVP QB dominate) he's had the worst to first situation which is how Daboll won in 22. He had the QB injuries but still winning which is how Stefanski won in 23.
...i'm good with him just going and winning the SB without that award tho. Just not sure we've got the horses this year. So wish that Bosa and Warner were able to come back after the bye.
Talking heads, that's all it will take... media plays a big role
We never had a lot of analysts talk about Queefs holding a lot, not even after blatantly "BEAR HUGGING" Bosa and caught on film... soon as Eagles play Queefs second time around in SB, everyone in the media talked about how KC holds a lot and even showed how we got screwed in both SBs
hence the refs had no choice but to not hold Queefs' hands anymore and let them get away with stuff

Cutting Moody lifted a dark cloud surrounding that unit.

Yes i get that part. but Cleveland would have also taken a Knee at that point. as evident on the previous drive where Sanders also took a knee after his scramble was going nowhere on 4th Down
No reason to call the timeout though. Only reason you do it is in hopes of forcing a punt.

Yes, I would be mad. I wouldn't be one of those idiots calling for people to be fired, but I'd be mad because I hate losing no matter the circumstances.

There are two ways to read that question.
Obviously you get there you want to win, regardless of expectations losing that final game sucks. And going 0-4 in SBs is incredibly painful.
However given what the expectations were this season and the key injuries we have making it to the SB would be an absolutely crazy result...especially cuz NFC seems like the much stronger conference this year.
Honestly though IF and it's a pretty big IF still imo, if we made it to the SB I can see us being favored over any AFC team.
So let's go ahead and win it all...which would of course be somewhat hilarious since nobody would expect that this year from us.

Crazy season .... we can still get the #1 seed if we win out.

It would hurt less then the other 2 thats for sure because i would have zero expectations to win. As much of a homer i am, this is probably a one and done team come playoff time. I keep saying anything can happen in the playoffs but winning 3 straight playoff games would be unbelievable.

Sometimes the best way to block a team's best player is to not. Kyle Shanahan left Myle's Garrett unblocked on 2 rushing touchdowns. Brilliant. pic.twitter.com/rmwEJt4xjU

Emmanuel Acho on Kyle Shanahan:
— Coach Yac 🗣 (@Coach_Yac) December 2, 2025
"If you really think about it, you can make a strong argument that Kyle Shanahan is a top 3 coach in football and he's not 3. If you don't box score watch, if you just think about what he's done and with who he's done it with, and what this 49ers… pic.twitter.com/SGtjSiZBY3
Meanwhile, you've got these miserable f**ks, who don't know s**t about Football, on here calling for Shanahan to be fired.
What a joke.

There's the start / talking head we need... someone will try to out do Acho's praise, then next thing you know a bunch of them will jump on the wagon. The media will speak it into existence. Shanny will automatically win CotY (well deserved over the rest by a mile) #BookIt
