I'm confident if I looked back far enough you'd be in this thread blaming the failures of Wilks and Sorensen on Kyle for selecting them.

Funny how you all want to pick and choose when to give the HC credit or the blame for the work his assistants do.

I'll tell you exactly the kind of in game decisions that make me despise Shanahan. Saleh gifts him with a turnover in Falcons territory with 1:28 left in the half. Shanahan knows they get the ball back to start the 2nd half. He calls THREE pass plays, almost gets them out of field goal range but for a lucky "pass" to Colby that let them get back to fg range. And our kicker hits a 55 yarder to save shanny. Shanny gives the Falcons the back with 50 seconds left and but for a fortunate grounding error by penix, the Falcons dont get a score. This type of game management is why I hate Shanahan. And it's why he's lost superbowls. It should get anyone fired.

4-yd Pass

1:28 - 2nd

M.Jones pass short right to K.Bourne to ATL 36 for 4 yards (K.Elliss).
1st & 10 at ATL 40

Incompletion
0:54 - 2nd

(Shotgun) M.Jones pass incomplete short right to C.McCaffrey.
2nd & 6 at ATL 36

-1-yd Pass
0:50 - 2nd

(Shotgun) M.Jones sacked at ATL 44 for -8 yards (L.Floyd). FUMBLES (L.Floyd) [L.Floyd], recovered by SF-C.Colby at ATL 44.The Replay Official reviewed the fumble ruling, and the play was REVERSED.(Shotgun) M.Jones pass short middle to C.Colby to ATL 37 for -1 yards (B.Dorlus, J.Bertrand) [L.Floyd].
3rd & 6 at ATL 36

lol Kyle wanted to run the ball 40 times in that game but that's the stuff you complain about?

What was the incompletion on 2nd down buddy? Was it a screen pass that would've gone for a huge distance had it been completed? Now we want to pretend that screen passes are high difficulty plays? You want them to run the ball on 3rd and 6 in a 2 minute offense?

Don't the mental gymnastics trying to find ways to crap on Shanahan hurt after games like this?

Shanny is getting praise all around the league for his coaching job this year, meanwhile the Kyle haters are crying themselves to sleep , lol

I was coming in here to say he is doing a heck of job so far. I had one complaint and that was the Rams game, but it worked out lol

All that aside, he just seems more conditioned if that makes sense. He is so used to s**t happening he just instinctively rolls with it at this point. It also helps that the last two drafts are looking very good so now we have decent depth.

Go look back at the last superbowl. Niners get a turnover in chiefs territory first drive after half. Kyle throws it three times and punts, losing all momentum. Im not picking and choosing. It's a theme over and over again and it's why he loses big games.

It's unbelievable they're 5-2 but Shanahan will never change.

He is doing an outstanding f**king job. Really. If you can't see that. I don't know if we can converse. lol
People need to get over the SB b******t, there's a 100 reasons they lost those games. It's over with, move on and quit whining over something that's over and done with….the constant embellishing of who to blame for confirmation bias is so tired and frankly pathetic

Good coaching sets up a great culture and gets the right personnel….the Kyle haters club can't deny that he (along with everyone else) have done that since day one. That's one of the reasons SF will always be in it as long as he's here.

I was here for Jim Tomsula and Chip Kelly. The "fans" saying Kyle needs to be fired clearly weren't. You can easily tell too, lol. They think good head coaches grow on trees.

Those fans think they're owed something lol.

Winning it all is incredibly hard, even some of the most established HCs (Tomlin/john Harbs/Payton etc) won that s**t once, two with first ballot HOF QBs.

I'd say about 80% of the league would love to have him as their HC.

We already had these conversations man. I already broke down why we failed on those drives in the SB and it wasn't for Kyle's lack of not running the ball.

Sometimes the players don't make the plays that are there to be made and sometimes the other team's defense simply makes big plays in key moments.

Using hindsight to nitpick playcalling is lame honestly, especially after a win. If you're going to nitpick playcalling there has to be a real reason for it.

For instance the play Shanahan regrets in the Falcons SB. That was a bad playcall. It was dead from the snap but even then Matt Ryan made it worse by taking a huge sack instead of just throwing the ball away. That got compounded by a holding call on the next play which Shanahan had nothing to do with.

When you're down behind the sticks and you're not in a situation where you're literally trying to kill clock and timeouts in the final 2 minutes then you need to pass. It doesn't mean you dial up a 7 step drop and long developing routes for all your receivers but there are just as many examples of coaches going too conservative and losing games as there are of coaches going aggressive and losing them.

In fact the same folks upset for Kyle not running the ball(without the context of the game) are the same ones who were yelling at him for not going for it on 4th down of the SB in OT.

Pick a lane that isn't simply Kyle sucks and let me cherry pick the reasons why.

It's the NFL fan version of grass is greener on the other side.

In their mind Shanahan hasn't and can't win a SB...so bring in another guy(who likely has never won a SB either)

Every year a hot new coaching hire comes in and looks completely lost out there.

I'm sorry but changing just for changes sakes is really dumb in the NFL. It takes a LOT to go your way to win it all. We were so close in 2023 and yet still had 2 critical injuries during the game, turnovers that had nothing to do with the coach...and some of these guys will still blame it on him. Burford literally goes AGAINST what he was coached to do and goes with his gut and it's still Kyle's fault for not reading his mind and running onto the field to tell the guy to "DO YOUR JOB"

That's when you know you've lost the plot.

This! Add Singletary to that list. The "fire Kyle fans" are delustional! Star players hurt and yet we are here in 1st place at 5-2.
