Prediction: Lance's first play next season will be an option run, just to anger the fans on this board.

Or perhaps calling less QB powers
The designed QB runs aren't going anywhere anytime soon. I said it all off season in here. Folks just don't want to accept it. It is one of the reasons why we drafted him. Fans may not like it but it is what it is.
Folks don't want to accept it cuz in a sense it's stupid. They mentioned it in the broadcast with neutral announcers. They said do you really want this guy you invested all this in to be mixing it up with NFL front sevens. There are ways to run him without heavy contact. QB power isn't one of them imo. Steve Young addressed this yesterday on KNBR. He said in college he can stiff arm defensive tackles.. and do that type of stuff.. not anymore at the NFL level.
Folks can think its stupid all they want but it isn't going to change anything.
Bump for reality slapping you in the face. It was not unpredictable. Above was discussed last week.
Hell it happened in AZ last year. Except this time Kyle had more time to create a better game plan for him. I don't want to hear the "What if he threw interceptions" He didn't even get a chance to prove himself. Not a fair assumption at all.
Maybe it's a Shanahan thing like with Mike and RG3 it's embarrassing how we gamble major investments with clownish usage. If the plan was to use him as a battering ram it was a stupid plan. You can use Mason as the power back you know an udfa.. don't need to spend three ones for QB power its beyond stupid you need another word.

I wonder how and why fans who post here follow the 49ers. Or if they are really fans.
Trey Lance was lost for the season on a fluke play. It happens. It isn't Kyle's fault. Nor is it Trey's. It just happened. To criticize Kyle for running TL, have you seen this kid's highlight reel? That's what TL did in college. Run right, run left and run up the middle. Are you suggesting that TL should not be used in this manner? TL would beg to differ. It is what he does.
Aaron Rodgers spent three years riding the bench, waiting for his shot. TL is in just his second season. He had been anointed as the starter. The star. He had Kyle's full support. Unfortunately, he got hurt.
His career isn't over. It's just on hold for another year. That's life. Get over it. Move on.

Oh look! Justin Fields just ran three yards for a TD.
The coach of the Bears should be fired for doing that.

How many qb dives we see them running? Kyle does that sit like 5 times a game. It's dumb.

Immediately.
In fact, the 49ers should be coached by fan polls. Every snap we have a NT poll to choose the play that is run. I'm sure that will be way more successful than Kyle Shanahan. What could go wrong with our genius NT fans being in control?

You have to ignore a large percentage of the low resolution static on the zone.

It was no contact on the QB.. it was roll right.. if there is a throw option great.. he ran in untouched jumped for the pylon..
World of difference between that and QB power at midfield, where your QB is gonna get jolted by multiple 235-300 lb players. They key variable is contact you need to limit the contact. You can have a non contact injury but it far more likely with contact.

MAYBE, just maybe, he see's too much Saints #7 on Lance that he's willing to call all the plays..
