During the draft, I was suggesting the Niners trade back and get Kizer at 30 - 32 (I admit I didn't think Foster would be there). Am I the only one who thinks they should package their 2x 3rd rounders and go get him? Have him sit behind Hoyer for a year?

I liked Kizer at this time last year. He just had such a disappointing season and looked fairly disinterested during the combine. I don't want him.

We still need improvement at WR, RB, TE, Safety, DB, another LB... I say keep trying to improve the overall team.

Hope you don't mind NC, I was curious about something. Once you posted all of the pre-draft visits, I was wondering if there was anything we could "glean" from the list, if organized by our draft picks. I think it's somewhat interesting (take it for what it's worth).

Looks like a list of who we've looked at for #2:

1 Myles Garrett Edge
2 Solomon Thomas DT
3 Malik Hooker S
4 Marshon Lattimore CB
5 Jamal Adams S
6 Mitchell Trubisky QB
7 Patrick Mahomes QB
8 Leonard Fournette RB

Looks like a list if we can trade down:

9 Christian McCaffrey RB
11 Jonathan Allen DT
12 Deshaun Watson QB
15 Corey Davis WR
16 Reuben Foster LB
18 Mike Williams WR
22 Derek Barnett Edge
23 Cam Robinson OT

Looks like who we think might be there at 34:

27 Kevin King CB
28 Chidobe Awuzie CB
31 Obi Melifonwu S
32 TJ Watt Edge
33 Jabrill Peppers S
34 Davis Webb QB
35 Dalvin Cook RB
40 Jordan Willis Edge
42 Budda Baker S
44 Alvin Kamara RB
45 DeShone Kizer QB

So far, it's basically been just a set of good players. But for 66, maybe it looks a little more "targeted"? (3 OL, 2 CB):

51 Ahkello Witherspoon CB
66 Dion Dawkins G
69 Dan Feeney G
70 Julie'n Davenport OT
72 Tim Williams Edge
77 Kareem Hunt RB
78 Carlos Henderson WR
87 Teez Tabor CB
88 Nathan Peterman QB

For pick 109 (2 more OL):

93 Chad Hansen WR
99 Nico Siragusa G
110 David Sharpe OT
117 Cam Sutton CB
118 Elijah Lee LB

For picks 143/146 (heh):

123 George Kittle TE
135 Joshua Dobbs QB
142 Jerod Evans QB
157 Jordan Leggett TE

For pick 161 (OL x 2 again, and Edge):

165 Jessamen Dunker G
180 Keion Adams Edge
184 Johnathan Calvin Edge
185 Corey Levin G

And later rounds (all skill position):

187 Michael Roberts TE
202 Artavis Scott WR
225 Aaron Jones RB

So far, we are 2 for 2 on drafting players we had pre-draft visits with. I've bolded the ones we drafted, and the ones that could be there at 66/67.
Ok we now have the following picks for tomorrow.

4th- 143
5th- 146
5th- 161
6th- 186
6th- 202
7th- 229

Then in 2018

SF 1st
SF 2nd
NO 2nd
SF 3rd
CHI 3rd
SF 4th
SF 5th
SF 6th
SF 7th
KC 7th

This is called getting draft capital for a potential move to get someone we may want in 2018. Good job so far by Lynch.

If factored in right now, the 49ers have $66,888,889 in cap room right now.

In-fricking credible...we get TWO Impact players on D and we STILL have $68 mil in cap space...now that is hard to believe. Way to go, AB.

I know there weren't many big names in FA this year but still seems like they could have afforded more thianoff season.
Still don't have a pass rusher

4 for 4 now.

They're going to line up Thomas at LEO. I just know it.

Saleh doesn't have a clue.

I didn't realize we met with Beathard! That's amazing NC. 4 for 4? Lol. Way to point this out at the beginning.

So, lets see who me might be looking at for later picks:

70 Julie'n Davenport OT
93 Chad Hansen WR
99 Nico Siragusa G
110 David Sharpe OT
118 Elijah Lee LB
123 George Kittle TE
135 Joshua Dobbs QB

202 Artavis Scott WR
225 Aaron Jones RB

I'm convinced we're drafting a guard. Would also love to see one of those edges. TE also seems very likely. And of course, don't we kinda have to draft a late round rb?

This is how I look at it, if we're not going to be good record wise, I'd rather end up with the 1st or 2nd pick, and in 2018 get the type of offer that TEN and CLE got in the 2016 offseason, this is of course depended on Kirk Cousins being signed in the 2018 offseason.

Yeah, sorry, I should have listed them all from the start...but yeah, 4 for 4 baby!

For sure...we talked about that in our mock project of draft visits. No doubt, in the 3rd and 4th, they've met with a ton of T's and G's. Now is their time.
Kapri Bibb is signed for 2017 at $615K, will be a RFA after the 2017 season.
Haven't been too impressed with the picks since Witherspoon. Don't quite know where the front office is headed on this last day. Hope the Niners find a big WR, some interior OL help, another pass rusher, and maybe a swing OT.
Speed kills, baby. Shanny knows he wants for his offense.
