Lol. Okay GGG, as you can tell there's been some concerns about you. I think you're a good guy so we're all gonna help you out.

No more random posts like these for starters.
It's not cause you're doing something SERIOUSLY wrong, just unnecessary flood if we're not actually discussing ball. Can actually make it hard to keep up too! Lol. I'm like wtf did I miss. Ending up coming to some jokes after discussing or cracking a random inside joke about a player with another poster is all good. I think you catch my drift, no disrespect and I hope others come around as well.

Agree
Same holds true w/our draft.
Looks great - BUT the proof will be what happens on the field.

It means something instead of nothing doe. This is EXACTLY the things you wanna do to bring the band together and create a family and brotherhood first type of locker room. Taking a page out of the college book when you wanna turn around a program you do ALL AND every single small thing that can go a long way with guys laying it on the line for you and to create a happy and hopefully winning culture.

Colleges have been doing this for yrs. The Cowboys have done this for yrs . Only when the yorks took over did we suddenly become a team whom the owners wanted all that came before to be forgotten..and did the idiotic and foolish banishment of all things fantastic from the past...get shunted aside...like the yorks wanted to show us how they could do the same THEIR WAY....with no reference nor remembrance of our great and storybook past. And they not only got burned, they got downright bihtc-slapped, then grotesquely embarrassed, and in the end , finally ran up the white flag, and asked for help.
I still say that whoever hired Kyle/ John deserves the gold medal for getting us back to the 49er way, and not the York way. Personally, I think it was a professional head hunter who specializes in sports team turnarounds. Could it have been Jedi Jed? Possibly but i don't think so because it is so out of line with the rest of his thinking.`I think it was someone else. Could Eddie have been involved in that? Sure wouldn't surprise me. But whoever it was, Thank God they did get involved and did help turn the team around. They basically did a 180 turn and now we just had Jerry visit, Steve has been here, and so on.. Lynch knew from his Stanford days what it was like to have former great stanford players help promote the team for rooks, (which for us meant FAs) and also how those famous vets were tremendous inspirations for the players on the team. For the longest time, Yorks wanted it their way and no 49ers of old ...NONE. The good doctor (and it wasn't even his team, it was his wife's) had no idea WTF he was doing, and after 2, maybe 3 yrs, gave up...but then forced Jed on us. That may have been a lateral move, but really, it was much worse.
So when suddenly we end up with not just Kyle but also john, (and i still have no idea who hired who), suddenly we knew...the 9ers were back. No question landing kyle was the big key. Getting lynch has turned out to be just as important. Altho i don't recall, i imagine i was not in favor of that hire, but it was so frantic at the time, i forgot. Whatever , we got them both, and only a dumbo would look at this team today...coaches, personnel, concepts, traditions, frames of minds...and see that it has all reverted back to days before the yorks.
I had posted it would take a change of ownership for us to climb out of the gutter, but i was wrong. Here was the other path, and like Yogi said, "when you come to a fork in the road, take it." Well, that was us. So i expect way better this yr, and i expect contention next yr. Meantime, all the visits of the greats, Dwight, Jerry, Steve, and the dozens of others that just roll off your tongue...to continue, and to help with our current team, focusing on the greatness of the past...instead of pointedly trying to forget it.

John York may have had a problem with the 49er past that didn't involve him, but I don't think Jed York does. Jed seems like he is perfectly fine to let his GM do the job however he sees fit. It's just that in his time as principle decision making owner his previous two GMs (McCloughan and Baalke) has little interest in bringing in previous 49er greats, probably because they were brought into the organization during John's regime.
