Awesome read. Seems like we would have traded up for Kevin King if Foster was gone.

Instead, got Thomas, Foster and the next best King-like fit in Witherspoon.

I like how Lynch made Peter King take his day old food tray out of the hotel room lol.

  6. QB
  7. Hyde (Longevity)

Usually doesn't end well for teams with this many question marks.

Is it not normal for a team in year one of a rebuild to have several question marks?

Yeah, I don't think anyone has any unrealistic expectations here. This is a prove it year for everyone.

Yep. I think Lynch and Shanahan have done a great job thus far setting expectations. Players will work hard to get better and perform or they will be replaced.

oh wait its cuz they can't fit them all on there

Lol this. Someone mentioned on another forum that all the guys on that wall had been at 49ers HQ this offseason. I know Young, Lott and Willis visited.

You guys are high AF. Gore by the end of this upcoming year will be #5 on the all time rushing list and if that occurs... I think there's no way in hell he doesn't get in the HOF. Can't believe y'all put the other people in Gores league in terms of accomplishments and productivity. No wonder Deion calls him the inconvenient truth cause even our fans don't even give him the credit he deserves.

It does nothing for Lynch to alienate one of his best players (when healthy), especially when you can kill two birds with one stone by denying it and showing support for your player, while still getting the rumor out there that he's available. And if you do end up getting a ridiculous amount of value for him, you can easily say that it wasn't your intention to trade Bowman, but we received an offer we just couldn't refuse; win win.

At a boy. Tunnel vision thinkers are the worst lol. People are too lazy to make sure no stone is left un turned lol.

LOL, WTF are you talking about? Gore wouldn't visit the facility b/c he plays for another team, right? Same reason he wouldn't be on that mural. How pathetic would it be to put an active player for another team on your mural?

They made it sound like even if we're talking next year and he retired... he doesn't deserve to be on the list cause if so we should all those other players on the wall too.

After the Denis Ericsson debacle, I wrote here in the "Zone, fire them all, cut these losers, and start over....The deck chairs were rearranged, and Nolan was hired....When Nolan was fired, I wrote here in the "Zone, fire them all, cut these losers, and start over...A quick reshuffle and Singletary was hired, when he got the axe, I wrote here in the "Zone, fire them all, cut these loser, and start over...Young Jimmy H gets the nod, money heads roll, but a few trusted types hold on to their jobs, when Jimmy was dumped, I wrote here in the "Zone, fire them all, cut these losers, and start over, a few firings and couple of quick shuffles later, Jimmy T, and Big Balls Chip had their shots, with the each firing, I wrote here in the "Zone, fire them all, cut these losers, and start over!

50! 50 new additions! WOW, and new strength and conditioning staff....we could have canned the janitor, and the popcorn vendor and I would be okay with it!

Holy s**t! Looks like they are actually firing everyone and cutting these losers loose!

Great job Lynch!

I am pumped!

Lets hope this works, because really, firing everyone and cutting all the losers seems like my only idea!

No reason to doubt Lynch and Shanahan's honesty at this time. When news of Vance being available for trade came out, they acknowledged it was true and explained the rationale. They some credibility to me, so when they say NaVorro is not on the trade block I believe them. Everybody is available for the right price, but thats different than actively trying to trade someone which is what Lombardi seemed to imply.

It wasn't a day old - it was two months (!) old.

I love this, though. Great advice from Johnston:

"I'll tell you a story. In one of my last years playing, we scrimmaged the Cowboys down in Dallas. [Ex-fullback Daryl] Moose Johnston came out to practice, just to watch. He was retired then. I started talking to him and he asked about broadcasting. I said, 'Moose, I don't know. If I'm gonna play 15 years, maybe it's best for me just to go home and play Mr. Mom and be around my kids for a while. You know, hang with them.' He said, 'Yeah, you know, I thought the same thing. Then my dad, he's kind of blue-collar, said to me, 'Your kids are too young—they didn't see the work it took for you to play. They just see the lifestyle. They need to see the work. They need to see you work.' That really struck home with me. My kids, other than my son, didn't really see me play. They all just think, Hey, nice house, nice cars. You know, you've got to work. And it's good to show your kids if you want to accomplish great things, it takes work."

They could of threw him out there before the draft even kicked off and now it's " new" but "old" news. Bowman,Brooks,Dial,Vance and next years 5th for Cousins

Who made it sound like that? None of those posts even hinted at what you are talking about.
