I don't ever remember seeing this many rookies & UDFA's signed this quickly while Baalke was GM...Lynch has that FO humming...and I love it. WRT Foster, if it turns out he needs another surgery, I still think he was a good pick. Guys like him don't come along very often...Mayock estimated they come out in the draft @ every 10 years or so. The Saints were ready to take him at #32...apparently they weren't that concerned about his shoulder. A lot of this second-guessing could also be sour grapes because so many teams passed on him.

Listened to it in the car. Basically repeated the same stories he's been telling but nice interview nonetheless. Love the guys enthusiasm. He also sounded pretty optimistic about Fosters shoulder.

Lynch said he's going by what his doctors told him and that the shoulder is healing properly and is on schedule for recovery.

Yea our doctors said Redmond would play last year too. We see how that worked out.

His article and video were awesome. Does he do that every year with other teams? If not he should, its really cool to see into the draft war rooms like that

Even if they had to redshirt him it's worth the gamble.

He did play till pre season. Chris Davis emerged as a starting slot candidate they were comfortable with, ofcourse Ward could play slot and Reaser had ability there as well so they figured to give him more time. When he was designated to return opthemseasn was lost so we shut him down completely and get another year on his contract by doing so. Redmond is gonna be a good football player for us this year. If Redmond doesn't pan out it won't be cause of his injury. We all hope no matter what happens this year with Reuben, he turns into baby Willis for us in 2018.

Generally agree, but we can't really say this as a small injury can take away just enough speed to throw his coverage ability down the tubes. Same thing was said about Smelter and Carradine. Just because a guy is healthy enough to play doesn't mean his level of play wasn't affected! NFL is a brutal game and small differences matter. That's why I had so much respect for guys like Justin Smith and Patrick Willis! They played with nagging long term injuries and still played at all pro levels.

How much of the draft board was Tom Gamble. He was the one working on it up until Jan-Feb. No other guys at the top had extensive time with the team.

I think Adam Peters played a large role on shaping it too.Originally posted by qnnhan7:How much of the draft board was Tom Gamble. He was the one working on it up until Jan-Feb. No other guys at the top had extensive time with the team.
