Do you think Jed has the balls to do that and would Kyle simply accept that?

With Lynch being out of contractI I think a conversation will need to happen about it.

Cant have it go the way the Pats did under Bellicheck.

i think its far more likely we get what i suggested to happen then it is to do what the anti Kyle people want and fire everyone to magically find the coach and GM we need.
What motivation would Kyle have to give up power?
The draft is like Super Bowls for Kyle. Always choking

Im not really excited by our picks so far but optimistic. They may be reaches but as long as they become quality players for us, I'm happy. I think Stribling is a perfect fit for us.

I think heights is very intriguing and adds an element to us that we didn't have.

the RB pick is weird to me cause Kyle doesn't split reps. Lol

So far this draft tells me their last drafts have been misses at wr, rb, and edge. So let's try again!....While continuing to ignore o line because Kyle still thinks he can scheme around that come playoff time. At this point it's comical.

Outside of last year, we've invested a ton into the d line and pretty much missed on every single pick besides Bosa.

so if last year is a hit and Romeo is - that's a good start. As a whole, yeah we've missed on a ton of players - especially at skill positions.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I think scouts should scout and coaches coach. I don't think it's a coincidence that our mid to late round picks have done well and our early ones suck. We have too many years of data to prove it.
If we're going into next season with what we have now at safety, and idgaf if we draft one in the 4th (too late)... we're F****D

I agree completely but with that said I don't see Kyle giving up control.
Guys. Please stop citing general big boards, especially aggregate boards that have no qualification criteria like nflmockdraftdatabase. You are embarrassing yourself.

I think calling anyone after the 3rd a reach is kinda ridiculous. Sixth round picks should never be called a reach. Even if some talking heads say they had him being undrafted. s**t, some of them had Brock being undrafted so why not add him to this list?

He wants an extension I'd imagine. With Lynch out of contract if the plan isn't to continue with Lynch this is the time for Jed to tweak things.

Ahmad and Williams are well thought of front office guys. Give one the personnel power and true final say on the 90.

I don't see an extension as motivation whatsoever Kyle could pick his destination if he was to hit the open market, and even if it was promoting with in is a lateral move.

This off season and draft have made me feel I lost confidence in Lynch. Signing older players who are past prime is John Grudens specialty. This off season we didn't sign any player that is ascending.
I feel overall this draft didn't have a lot of amazing players, but goodness it really seems like we reached for positions that we already have contributors for. We still some holes on the roster and the fact that we just refuse to draft offensive line is so questionable. I doubt any of the first three picks will contribute in a meaningful way.
I'm not opposed to a new GM now. A different lense for drafting would be welcomed.

Three times he had the #3 overall pick and failed twice, got lucky once. Multiple first round picks twice, and he hit on a total of one out of 4 players (B.A) and the player that panned out went absolutely nuts and quit on the team after signing a lucrative extension.

Wonder what KS would look like with a real GM?

We'll never have a real GM while Shanny is in charge... Lynch is his boy and he's here to stay till they're both gone

The owner is just a fluffy p*ssy and won't do shiz about it

Don't need a competent group, just a solid madden player would draft better.

Even if being sarcastic, you are 100% right

It's data aggregated from the industry, people who do this for a living (some who go on to work for, or are currently in contact with, NFL Front Offices) for sections of companies which exist for this very subject. If you don't like it, move on.

No it's not. Anyone that simply writes about football, not necessarily scouts, can submit their data. The consensus big board is a composite from boards, general mock drafts, and team specific mock drafts, with extra noise from submissions months ago before the pre-draft process. How does an Eagles blog that submits a big board based on their team reflect the 49ers big board? Spoiler: It doesn't.
