This is true and tbh it will be hard for them to mess this draft up (on paper at least) as they could simply take bpa every round and the odds are it will improve the team (If they actually play them)

This is where the argument lies. A LOT of people never think who they take is the BPA every round; personally I think they reach a lot for need.

Since there is no actual definiton of BPA it's always going to be a debate. It's like trying to say who makes the best pizza. Lot's of differing opinions.

Yup this is true

I make the best pizza.

So you don't like burgers?

I love me some home made bbq cheeseburgers lo!

Same. One of my favorite players but bringing him back would be dumb.

I don't know how anyone else feels, but I'm getting tired of Trent Williams asking for more money every time the opportunity arises. He's already one of the top paid tackles in the league, and now he's what, 39 years old? I get that he's still pretty good at his job, but for someone who is probably a multi-millionaire to keep showing up with his hands held out is getting a bit tiresome.

He's no different than most athletes now. They all want more money. Being a multi millionaire isn't enough. They want to make more than the other guy.

Evans would be an awful signing. He's not going to complement Purdy as he plays a different style of ball than any WR we've ever had and the reason he's leaving Tampa is to get paid one last time, for what will be a 33 year old WR. We need to stop paying older guys in their decline top money.

After what went down with him in Washington, can you really blame him?

Team has basically given him every opportunity to do so so I can't even blame the guy. I was more upset when he did it after a pretty poor SB performance. Now it's just more the 49ers giving themselves 0 leverage again.

Every time Trent goes into a season with 0 guaranteed money he does this. We all should've seen it coming and certainly the team should have. They keep kicking the can down the road with a possible replacement so he's getting all this leverage. He's old and can retire at any moment and hell he's actually sat out a season in his prime so calling his bluff can be a huge mistake.

its frustrating but team could've protected themselves against this better.

Ideally we get a new deal done for 2-3 years. Drop his cap hit this year and add in a future LT before we run into this again and Trent ends up retiring or gets traded next time this comes up.

I disagree. I see Evans similar to Sherm when we brought him in. Coming off a less than stellar year for him, including injuries. But a big time vet who can help a young unit around him.

Also disagree that he's a bad fit. He can do everything we need from him

Honestly if we don't make any changes to the training situation this offseason I'm going to join the Jed hate club.

What's worse is Rams and Seattle have much higher grades at both. Some may call it a coincidence but their players are very happy with their training staff and training room and they were two of the healthiest teams in the league and we are playing the what if game.

Team needs to at least show they're looking to improve there somehow! Jonny had a really good post about it on twitter.

Trent doesn't need more money but he knows damn well there's no actual Plan B for LT so he has substantial leverage to get another big payday.
