Obviously Lynch can pick up the phone and talk directly to Demeco so there has to be a valid reason that they decided to pass on him.

1. It wouldn't have cost anything to claim him, 2. no one else claimed him so there's something there reasoning as to why no one claimed him, and 3. It's not all up to the teams now, he has the choice to go where he wanted to go to.
