1 out of 5 is on the Field and he is good but exhibits signs of also becoming a problem. At some point we need to be honest and admit we have a player selection problem. It's not bad luck.

Our head coach is solid. Our GM is ? I am sick of the wasted picks. We keep doing the same thing and getting the same results. He needs to move the f**k on.

They are really bad at picks.

I still don't understand if Watkins hurt, dude gots to have fresh legs and should be able to help our offense. we keep using 84 and 5 who are both useless .. by now, everyone in the coaching staff should know that they both are useless..
Let's be real the only real reason he still got a job is cause his name is John lynch , if this was some exec not famous he be fired already
He better pull another rabbit out of his hat this off-season. And, can start by looking into Burrow.

John doesn't make these pics all by himself. It's pretty well known that the 49ers front office collaborates with the scouting dept, John, Kyle, Tariq Ahmad, Josh Williams, and even the position coaches, when it comes to drafting.

The argument out there is that perhaps the 49ers lack a singular vision, like a John Dorsey or a John Schneider, and that too many opinions are being heard. It doesn't help that the team loses front office guys regularly; Martin Mayhew, Adam Peters, Ran Carthon, etc.

Lynch has many strengths and weaknesses, but he's very valuable to the team; as a former HOF player, he does have a vision of the character and identity he wants the team to embody. If I were Jed, I'd bring in a proven draft personnel guru to work with everyone but have final approval on draft picks. Someone like a John Dorsey type,

What are you talking about? How are they going to get Burrow? I doubt that the Bengals would trade him for Purdy. The Niners don't have the draft picks to do it either.

I wanted that for a while. Love John. But I do think we need a legit GM who will work closely with Kyle but one who is known for being a great talent evaluator.

Question I have is whether John would stick around as a "President of Football" or whatever BS title is available where he may feel like he's not getting demoted. And honestly as much as I love the guy...I don't care.

I think we need a better GM with Kyle to really get back on track. I have full confidence in Kyle's coaching abilities but I think he needs to give up some of his power with talent acquisition.

Burrow isn't happening. Purdy has a no trade clause.

Bengals would probably take Purdy and 3 1sts for Burrow if he truly wants out but Purdy will just void it so not really a possibility.

Kyle needs to give up ALL of his power and focus exclusively on coaching.

I don't know of any HCs that would be happy about not having any input in the draft. They have to turn these guys into a winner so they should have a say in who gets picked.

Tells you where this front office sits. If they gave up that for Trey Lance and they bust on 1st rounders. Now would be the time to go!
