That's how you draft to re-build a D. Lynch should take notes.
AND they just fired their GM/HC and gave up a top 13 in this upcoming draft.![]()
Pierce was dogs**t vs the run, surely wasn't worth 2 1sts. He's Floyd 2.0. From what I saw with Walker it wasn't anything special. Good football player but people in here were trying to call him freaking Parsons or something.
ATL's D gave up more pts per game than SF. While I don't always agree with Lynch and have no problem getting a real GM in here. The Falcons aren't the blueprint lol
I'm not saying ATL is the blueprint at all. I'm saying that even bad teams have good drafts. They nailed that draft. Billy Bowman was making plays before he got injured too. That draft is more to reference what we needed and who we took and who we passed on. Like every other year under Lynch.
Put those 3 guys on the team instead of Mykel, Collins and Stout and our D is much better IMO.
As for Pearce, everyone knows he isn't good vs the run but that's not his job. His job is to get after the QB and he is very good at that. Bryce Huff and Sam O are not good at setting the edge either and Pearce would have been a huge upgrade over them both.
Walker was very good. He will be a nice chess piece and probably more impactful than Mykel Williams.
Our run D would be trash. I get where you are going but don't go there with Mykel. He had a huge impact.
