Go look at the safety rankings on PFF, I think there's only 3 1st rd picks in the top 20.
it's simply not a position you use a 1st on unless it's some ridiculous talent or far an away BPA.
Who said they had to take one in 1st? You are talking 3rd or later.
The 9ers haven't shown the ability to consistently land good safeties in the later rounds. Corners either.
People consistently talk about needing a dominant o line to win a ring when the two times we lost in the sb it's because the dbs blew coverages on big plays. Had a pop up pick our safety dropped that likely gets us in a 3rd SB, nevermind the poor coverage in the game to start with.
Seattle sure isn't regretting the Emmanwori pick.
