This isn't fantasy football. You can't just make trades or sign guys because you like them.

BUT if Q-Will becomes an All Pro for the next 6 years then the Cowboys move would not be bad at all regarding of how much they pay him.... everyone thought that KC gave up too much for Mahomes when they traded up, I personally thought they did not because Alex Smith was never gonna take them anywhere.. AND I did feel that we traded TOO MUCH for a young QB who only had 1+ season in a small school..

The point is Dallas was in a more desparate position after trading Parsons. They needed a D linemen that could pressure the QB. They were also in a better position to make that trade. If the Niners had traded a 2 and a 1 to get Williams fans would have been complaining for the next 5 years how bad the 49ers drafts are.

I've always thought Quennin Williams was a beast. Being on the NYJ can cause anyone of his caliber to question what's the point. I know that being in a better situation will bring out the best in him once again.

With that said the 49ers did not need to trade for him. They have two good draft picks with very good potential in Collins and West. They need to get a 3rd and maybe a 4th piece to give them breathers so they can be on the field and wreck havoc at the end of games. Keion White can be that 3rd piece in the interior, hopefully, he's not as good outside- so far. Also, hopeful they can find a 4th rotational guy and a good Edge opposite of Bosa.

If Josh Williams gets a GM spot this offseason that'd mean 4 different personnel guys from a bad drafting team were hired in less than a decade.

We really need Mykel to be a hit, though. His injury worries me. I really hope it's not like Trey Lance where the dude breaks and then he's permanently done. If that's the case, I wouldn't blame the FO for just going full-blown Rams and trading all our 1sts for proven talent over the next decade. Not all first round picks this regime has made are bad (like some users in this thread are implying) but they really shouldn't be coin flips, either. First round picks are the selections where you should really be hitting 75% of the time, not 50%. If Mykel is another bust, I say eff it and just trade our 1sts for proven talent moving forward!

The solution to picking bad and busting isn't trading away all of your picks. It's finding somebody WHO CAN PICK! If this isn't the guy (he's not) you move on.

Nice work Lynch. At least you can reach on a bust with our pick in the 20's

The 49ers weren't giving up the picks Dallas gave to get him nor would I have, he is owed over $25m in 2026 which the 49ers don't have when ppl are gonna want more top FA signings when the cap can't hold it, noticed you never replied to me about your idiotic thought of the roster that would never have happened due to many reasons mainly the cap but keep making dumbass posts that make absolutely no sense, I just can't get over the fact we're 7-4 and ppl like you keep b***hing each week to fire John and Kyle, or how the Rams GM ISO much better when they haven't drafted better, if you love these guys so much than go be a fan of the Lambs then, so sick of ppl like you and 9moon, stupid trade ideas that make zero sense.

He's so clueless. Says the Niners are horrible at drafting, then lists a bunch of players that he's mad we didn't resign, that we drafted. Can't make up this level of

The list of players we let leave is nothing compared to the players we picked that busted.

That said, it's ironic that half of the quality players we DID draft we let leave.

Good point. I overlooked him as a guy that can play inside and outside. It'll probably be at least sometime around now that he'll return. I hope he's able to work on some Edge moves to apply pressures from there.

And, yeah, I'd be totally down trading 1st for established talent.

Roseman is superior to Snead.

Agreed. Winning the Stafford trade kept them a float longer then they should've

KC fans would have been crying up too now had Mahomes been a bust... the point is, IF QWill becomes the next Donald, the 2nd and a 1st would not have been a give away...

the question is... how good is he NOW in your own eyes?
