Bring me Jeffery Simmons

I'd be excited if we traded for Simmons but I feel EDGE is a much bigger need right now. And if we trade for Simmons it's very unlikely we'll trade for any edge too unless it's ridiculously cheap draft capital wise (maybe like a 6th for Phillips? His contract is pretty bleh though. Something similar for Cam Jordan perhaps but his contract is extremely ugly for the Saints — they'd basically have to eat $20M+ just to trade him unless they re-work the deal somehow).

Simmons would cost about as much in a trade as Hendrickson but at least he's a little younger and locked up for the following two seasons.

Honestly, I haven't watched Chubb in a minute, so I can't really speak on him. I'm down with Key, tho. Like thl said, 49ers need more pressure irrespective of where it comes from.

Why? He'd be sitting on the bench while CMC gets 57 touches a game

Him and Dart aren't gonna make it a full season the way they're playing. Cam is gonna have scrambled eggs with the way he runs, using his head as a battering ram.

They'll be calling him Cam Scatterebrain.
Trey Hendrickson!

The fan base shouldn't settle for anything else. Hit up radio and social media and push.

Everyone has a price. Especially Hendrickson that will be a free agent and is not sticking around in Cincinnatti and be a perennial loser.

Give up the picks @49ers!

The fanbase shouldn't settle for anyone else? This is kinda dumb to say. The Bengals aren't even known to trade players and are considered very stingy. And not everyone has a price. Hendrickson may have one but a high price for a 11 game rental is not what the majority of the fanabase wants except maybe you and 3 other people.

So yes we will settle for else.

Blah blah blah

He's the best out there and the Bengals even with Flacco will fall. Even the Bengals aren't stupid enough to think he'll resign with them lol. As great as Burrow is, he's always hurt. Season enders for them! It'll get worse before it ever gets better with his and Chase's contracts.

EVERYONE has a price. Dangle the picks @49ers

So you would trade a 1st round pick for him?

Surprised to see Chubb is only 29, feels like he has been in the league forever. Just read he has 4 sacks currently. And if I recall he was a pretty complete DE in he plays the run well too. I could be mistaken on that part. I'd be all for it.

He was great I think 2 years ago then had a bad knee injury to end the season. He should be almost fully recovered.

lol talk about dumb. Everyone CAN want a 1 for their player(s) up until multiple teams call and offer less in reality.

No one is giving up a 1, everything I've seen from the those reporting and analyzing are saying 2nd and beyond.

End of the day if you can get a Chris jones like talent on the DL it makes everything better. I listen to Lombardi & for all the homer stuff he says he's pretty good with understanding the cap. Simmons was doable according to him.

apparently SF had a insurance claim on Bosa and will be getting back like $7M this yr (cash). That helps with actual money.

I have no clue why they would move Simmons though.

For me I just don't want to toss away picks for a guy (a great player) like Hendrickson for like 9 games or whatever. I also don't think it would be super smart to fork over a ton of cash to him either.

it's probably gonna be an underwhelming trade
Bengals are 2- 3 and look to be 3- 6, Steelers are 3- 1 and look to be 6- 3 by the time the deadline comes around. Only Pittsburgh might come out of the AFC North

Lol

You guys laugh but I actually wouldn't mind trading a 2nd and change for Hendrickson (or Simmons I suppose). Just don't trade our 1st. In my mind, we need that 1st to draft Trent Williams' replacement and then the draft is a crap shoot after that.
