Titans would be a better option to trade for Defensive help. A lot of the players that could be traded were drafted by Ran and most of the time the new regime tries to distance itself from players drafted by the old regime. Saints would also be an option Cam Jordan would not be a bad addition.

What do you think about bringing Ebukam back? 49ers lost the best speed-to-power rusher in the game, but can replace him with a very good one. Ebukam had 9.5 sacks in 2023* for the stat nerds. He's at 2 this year.It should be a cheap move. I don't think the 49ers should give away any premium picks, tbh.

I would be all for it….its not gonna be a wow move but he's a solid player. I wouldn't hate doing a couple moves like that (swapping picks give up later picks)
I agree, I'm not down for moving premium picks for guys that either want a new deal or are kinda past their prime. Only guys I'm cool with doing that are Maxx and Simmons because they're a long term in their prime guy already under contract

Over these next couple weeks, it'll be interesting who is a good player but a "healthy scratch". Meaning teams are trying to trade them and don't want them to get hurt.
That may not happen for all of the players but it's usually a good indicator on who's about to get moved. I hope lynch makes some strong plays. I'm not expecting him to do anything crazy, cause the cost, but we will see. I'm optimistic

I mean anyone we truly want isn't gonna be a healthy scratch. I don't even know who's the last legit player that was a healthy scratch because of a possible trade?

No I meant like the team usually plays X player, they don't want him hurt while they're finalizing a deal, so they don't let him play. Not like the team doesn't see them as an asset and just makes them inactive.
then again that's essentially what eagles did with Huff but traded him in the off season. They just didn't use him cause he didn't fit their system

I'm not a fan of moving premium draft picks at the trade deadline, but damn, every team in the league is beatable right now. It's anyone's game this year. It's still relatively early, but even the heavyweights from previous years don't seem to be the same juggernauts. I think there's a real chance that one or two good moves could be the difference between falling short and making a serious run at the SB.
How ironic would it be if McCorkle was the one to lead the 49ers to a SB win after all the vitriol he received from the fans during the draft process.

Why? He'd be sitting on the bench while CMC gets 57 touches a game

I would hope he'd get more touches if we drafted him. Dudes fun to watch, brings a ton of energy.

this 1000%
there's no clear favorite this year,... Eagles and chiefs are playing crap,... Bills and Lions seem to be the best for the moment but they are clearly beatable and they use to sh*t the bed once they reach the playoffs
they need to improve the pass rushing (I would even say through a big movement if needed) and they would be as good a contender as anyone,... this next game against the bucs is crucial

if the 49ers pull out a W against the Bucs, a trade of bigger than normal proportions will happen!
