The shoulda couldas are always out in force when anything bad happens. So easy to do when somethng goes wrong or a pick doesn'twork out. One wrong cancels out all the other picks that do work as if every other team in the league hits on all their picks.

He has to go ASAP

Only GM I know that drafted a UGA player that did not contribute to a team (Beal). I sure hope mykel turns out to be a superstar.

It's impossible to hit on every pick, the percentage that GMs are graded on if they're doing good is 30%-35% of their picks work out, also the bigger thing is 2/3rds of draft picks don't even make it to the 3rd yr of their deal let alone a 2nd deal.

Huh? Really, please go do research and let's see how many UGA players did well and didn't do well on the teams that drafted them, just cause a 5th round pick gets waived doesn't mean he sucks, if he clears waivers he'll be brought back to the PS, but to say Lynch is the only GM to draft a UGA player that didn't play well is asinine and you lose any credibility that you may have.

THIS x 1M!
MY ALMA MATER NEVER MAKES LOSERS! IF ANY PLAYER IS DRAFTED FROM MY SCHOOL FAILS IT'S THE FAULT OF THE TEAM!!!! NEVER THE PLAYER!!!

:D
Did they finally, finally learn how to draft? Almost a decade in. Traded away high picks, bust after bust, picking positions they don't need. I expect them to fail up high in the draft. Because it's simply what they do. The record shows it.

2024 - Ricky Pearsall
2025 - Mykel Williams

They honestly both look good to me. It's early and the book is not written on either yet. Where the Eagles hit. I expect us to miss high draft picks. I am actually astonished. I think they are slightly learning how to draft high picks. If that changes it changes everything. Because while they can be useless early in the draft. They actually hit mid - late rounds higher than expected. Particularly 3rd, 5th, 7th.

Tbf, we didn't have a 1st rounder in 2022 or 2023 and 2021 was Trey Lance. So Ricky/Mykel have been their only real opportunities since 2020 to draft in the 1st round (and before that, we drafted Aiyuk, Deebo and Bosa… hard to call any of them busts).

The real reason the 2022-2023 drafts were so bad is because we were depleted of draft capital from the Trey Lance and CMC trades. The Trey Lance trade was a blunder no question, but it's not like we've been whiffing on multiple picks. It was one BIG pick that we whiffed on.

On the flip side, Ricky/Mykel are looking good but it is waaaaay too early to still call either one a hit yet.

Trey Lance was a huge bust and a big waste of draft capital. CMC cost us some capital also. Those had an impact. McCaffrey is good when healthy. But rarely is healthy or stays that way for long periods. Trading away the picks is a big part of it. If they keep them they do better and that's to be expected.

It's too early on Ricky and Mykel. Pearsall is much more like a rookie due to his horrifying start in the league. Mykel is one. But as of right now Mykel looks like a beast. Ricky looks pretty good and trending upward. The signs look good now. Arrow up on both. But that can change. I'm encouraged by what I see after years of absent 1st round picks and busts on some others.

Right after Adam Peters' departure. I'm just sayin'...

But Lynch must be feeling real good now with his last two drafts. He came into this year's draft with a s**t ton of pressure after free agency and needed to absolutely smash this draft. So far, it looks like he did it.

I honestly think this draft is his best in years. Not sure about Peters or the correlation. But maybe there is something there. Mykel looks like a total beast. Collins I think will come around. CJ West is just too good of an athlete. Really explosive and fast. I think he will have an impact. Martin looks good from what we have seen so far. Upton Stout looks pretty good albeit small. Sigle looks great and like a steal IMO. This is the best draft class in years. In addition Pearsall from last year is trending way up. Too early on all of them. Unlike some of the lost Lance years where you want to cry this looks really good.

Don't forget Conner Colby (7th round).
