It's a no brainer if you can somehow get him on a friendly contract. I don't know how plausible it really is but I remember reading somewhere that he wanted to play with his brother.

Yeah I don't think they would expect him to be the full time starter on the other side…or at least should hedge their bets in a big way if they do sign him.

Joey hasn't been able to stay healthy last few years and while he's still a talented player he's not the level of Nick.

Bring in Joey for a non crazy deal and then add someone like Femi Oladejo or David Walker on day 3.

True but with his extensive injury history I'm not sure I want to take the chance. I'd rather get a player like Bobby Wagner for much less and take a hit is pass coverage and improve on run D. (Rather than have a backup LB for multiple games every year)
