Is there high level personnel in the Browns that are familiar with Lynch/Niners that would give minimal sway in favor if Myles is traded?

I got what you're saying and I kinda disagree. They talk about how much they value the position and have failed overall at restocking the position via the draft.
when you have almost 70 draft picks and the best guy you scouted was DJ jones that's a failure imo.
Go look at the eagles. They've had "adequate" starters in place for a while and it didn't stop them from drafting good DL all the same. Until they can prove that they can actually rebuild the DL via the draft, I'm not gonna say they can do it. I think that's a fair statement.
the DL grouping overall is one of the most rotated position groups in football. It's not like the OL where it's set it and forget it. Guys aren't rotating in and out on the OL and if they are that's a problem.
Eagles actually only drafted DL to replace Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave. Both left a year later. It's not like they were stock piling them.
the big distinction is philly didn't whiff at QB like we did, we lost years of ones. one of the more bizarre moves, a project QB on a win now SB window team
i think hurts is misunderstood by folks who maybe look at the passing numbers. in 4 years he has 50+ rush Tds. lot of good RBs never even did that. it's a triple threat. he can give to saquon, he can pull it and run, or he can pull it and throw.

They absolutely whiffed and paid Wentz a s**t ton of money and we're lucky enough to win a SB and get out of that deal. They got just as lucky landing Hurts.
Let's revisit that trade/draft. SF stays at 12 and gets mcCorkle because they're taking a QB.(still f**king horrible). Everything else is static (Brock is the QB now)..the next two drafts they end up picking 29th overall and take Bryan Bresee and Cole Strange (guys taken at 29) those yrs. Is this team massively better? Nope

Right, rushing for a bunch of TDs doesn't make you a good QB.
I think KC is gonna win this s**t again unfortunately.

I have mixed feelings on the game. KC should blow them out.. but i got a feeling the ref issue may be the end of KCs favoritism

Listen pal I'm no Hurts defender but if you think Hurts is a weaker link than Jake Elliott then I'll listen

Again, no clue how true this is. Just some ""cap experts"" online that could be full of it.
He's got a roster bonus on 3/16.
I guess it depends on if the Browns want to tear s**t down to the studs and start over or do whatever they're doing now.
Looking at their cap situation, they're in such a bad spot 😵💫
Right—I guess my question is, does anyone know what happens if he's traded before March 16th? Do the Browns save some of that $13M they would be on the hook for pre-June 1st ($35M) vs. post-June 1st ($22M) ?
EDIT: According to this article… it actually sounds like it would be best for the Browns if they did it March 12-15 than any other time (including after June 1st) am I reading it right? Unless they wanted to absorb a massive cap hit for even more assets in a trade, then they would do it March 16th or later.

Lance is ancient history, yet here you are still talking about it. They're currently in the process of paying another QB.

lance is 2021 draft, wentz is 2016. so that's 5 year gap. the subject was philly and their draft selections recently, vs SF. hard not to discuss SF recent draft picks, without noting 2021, 2022, and 2023 were trey lance, round1.

Yeah and ngl… I kinda wanted what the Browns were apparently offering (Cooper + a 2nd). I mean come on, it's the Browns, they're not good at trading to begin with!
