Personally, I think *one* of the reasons John Lynch is doing so well as a GM, is because he listens and learns from Kyle's father Mike. But that's just my opinion, I don't have a lot of evidence to prove this. But ever since John and Adam have involved Mike Shanahan more in their deliberations - the 49er drafts just keep getting better and better.

Yeah, I hope John stays as GM, and we somehow also keep Adam Peters, but I think as long as Mike Shanahan is at 4949 Marie P. Debartolo way - the 49ers will always find low round and undrafted gems every year.

I just can't bring myself to to praise him when we have a 27m liability playing with himself off in some corner of the facility. We overpaid and overvalued Jimmy. We will end up with nothing in return. I then scratch my head on his decision to guarantee 2m to Nate sudsy. What? Why? Last pick of the draft is out playing him. Maybe JL is an awesome GM for every position except QB. I do have faith in Lance though so maybe I am wrong.

Please mate. They said it on the broadcast last night. Last two healthy JG seasons we went to the SB and the NFCCG. He just can't stay healthy, we have moved on. All that money will be rolled over, not lost. Suds has starter potential and is a very good #2 QB, on the cheap, 2 mil is absolute dollar store value for NFL QB.

i see the home page here of the zone is dutifully helping lynch to carry the water for sermon. david whats his face doing a commentary to try to build up sermon and defend lynch in the wake of what turned out to be a horrible pick... sermon has done nothing. zero.. draft status be damned to deserve a spot on this roster.

It seems every *other* year he's healthy. Which means **this** year is the year he'll be injured - if the pattern holds. Maybe that's why there's no trade bites.

Very rarely do I agree with one of your minds CC, but I agree with this part of your mind, for sure! Hope they find a way to keep Mason and let Sermon go.

Now we knew why Lynch wouldn't take a pair of 2s for Jimmy. He got him for $6.5M.

Plus we can trade JG to a team that loses it's starter.

This was Lynch Kyle and 9ers' plan all along to keep Jimmy stuck and force him to take a pay cut as Trey's backup for cheap and insurance for this season just in case.. Jimmy also played himself with his own decision to do his surgery late, Karma always plays out 1 way or another.

Now they need to fix that o line to the best it can be..
