Please swallow your pride and cut Jimmy today. Would love to have a realistic chance of signing Tretter to replace Alex Mack.

Might need him if Lance sucks bad.

I don't expect Lance to suck bad, and would really like to be able to sign a center.

Bottom line, the two QBs the Greay Shanny turned down ended up winning the Super Bowl back to back year.

Moon, one consideration that perhaps you are not factoring.. we have a gold jacket wearing Hall of Famer who is a member of the TB Bucs ring of honor and is Stanford educated. The man went up against Jerry Rice in the Super Bowl and walked off the field that day a world champion. We are building a dynasty, not a one and done team of mercenaries. TL is 22 years old and is a dynamic FQB potential player who is garnering massive MVP consideration from the betting community.

HOW much you putting on him to win the MVP?

and what team in the NFL isn't trying to build a dynasty?

Overall, Lynch had been steady when It comes to the draft. If he could do better with those first rounders, this team could be a force for years to come. Of course, a lot of this also comes down to the "Lance" pick.

I almost wish we were bad at drafting like Seattle or the Rams so we would just have to sign good FA's or trade for very good players more often

hard to see....

we've turned down the chance to trade for the 2nd best QB of all time, then turned down another chance to sign a QB that would have gotten us over the TOP..

we have a HC who thinks we can win because of HIM, and him alone and wants the MAJORITY of the credit..

U no think so ?

I just think you are exaggerating the situation. Brady was over 40 and coming off a down season. The opportunity wasn't really even open to get Stafford. Watson fell through for obvious reasons. The way you worded it sounds like getting a top 10 QB either through FA or through trade is like being able to pick out any car you want on the lot just because you have the money to do so. Ignoring all the reasons that factor in along the way.

As far as your last statement. You don't think Kyle is making the best decisions he can in order to win a SB? That's crazy talk. Especially since we used 3 1sts to move up and draft Trey.

Yea. Hindsight is always 20/20. Who else did Kyle turn down?

OBVIOUSLY no one after Stafford... but since you askin WHO ELSE he turned down..

can we add Watson and Mahomes ???

... he had a vision that Hoyer will be good enough while developing CJ after drafting him in the 3rd round..

No one knew Mahomes would become who he is, and Watson same, nor would I be happy with a $230M fully GTD QB, that would mean we wouldn't have the players we have now, it's nice & all to look back to see who we should/could have taken, but at the end of the day, it is what it is.

Also I know people were mad when we didn't get Mack in 2018, but imagine this, they would have had to trade 2018 & 2019 1st, maybe 2019 2nd, so no Bosa, and Deebo, so people should just be happy with who we have, and stop complaining about every little thing.

Why do our fans constantly get this wrong?

it's not the mistakes we care about. All GMs miss here and there. It's WHY we make mistakes that's really costing us.

No one knew mahomes or Watson would be good? Ridiculous. I heard reports before that draft that mahones was like Brett favre.

Kyle didn't draft those guys because he thought beathard and jimmy were more like the QBs he wanted.

we don't draft good IOL because Kyle doesn't think they're important. We didn't draft secondary help multiple years because these guys don't think it's important.

we have lost playoff games multiple years because of poor QB play, poor OL play and poor secondary play.

now tell me again Kyle and Lynch knob lickers, why you think they are so good? We pay top dollar contracts to TE, FB, MLB. You guys realize no one in the NFL does this?

we are a running team in a passing league with a TV exec as our GM.

and we haven't won any rings since they got here

what else am I missing?????????

Moon, keep up the good work. Don't let them forget just how asinine Kyle is.

Again, hindsight is always 20/20.

Wow! You heard reports. There are reports for each side of the fence for every unkown player in the league and coming into the league.

He chose Jimmy because he was available for a 2nd and he showed a lot of promise. Jimmy played well enough for them to give him a contract. The mistake was the size of the contract they gave him. As far as Beathard, he was a 3rd round pick. How many QB's in the 3rd become fulltime starters? Beathard was drafted to be a serviceable backup. That is it. No way they could have predicted Jimmy would lose that much valuable experience due to injuries.

Kyle wanted Cousins but settled on Jimmy. Kyle was intersted in Watson. I really liked Watson coming out of college but thank god we didn't draft or trade for him. Kyle wanted Stafford but lets be honest. McVay wanted Stafford but more important, Stafford wanted McVay and the rams because McVay likes to pass the ball more.

There is more than one way to skin a cat, or so they say. Kyle does not look for dominant pass blockers except the LT position. Everyone needs to excel at run blocking. A dominant run game and quick passing negates or at least slows down a ferocious pass rush. So inspite of always having a less than stellar O line on paper, our O lines are usually graded well at the end of the season.

Its typical to be up against the best of the best at QB in the playoffs. The secondary is always going to give up some yards because of that. However, in the playoffs this past season our defense gave up less that 15 ppg against DAL, GB and LAR who all had top 10 scoring offenses.

Name call all you want but when Kyle and John have had a starting caliber QB all season, we have gone to the NFCCG both times.

We haven't won any rings because the refs weren't calling holding on the Chiefs offensive line, Jimmy choked and Kyle got away from the run game.

Inspite of the mistakes Kyle and John have made, we are still a really competitive team. Because for every mistake they have made, they have made twice as many good decisions. Some folks just refuse to give credit for the good decisions and focus all their energy on the mistakes instead.

Great post! I'm sure Moon will hate this post!

John Lynch must really love the game and being part of a team to turn down $15 million.

Yessir it's called competitive fire and love of the game. You don't get that sitting in the booth like you're Joe Buck.
