That should be pretty easy. They resigned 1 that was better, and most likely will have 2 more that out produce what Smith did last year.

We'll see how Smith does this year and how the two unknown WRs do for the 49ers. I hope they upgrade.
I like it. I never was a fan of the Smith signing.

Not about how Smith does on a different team. It is about what he did here.

For me it is about what he could do here in 2017 compared to whoever we will have here in 2017.

You don't know what he can do here in 2017 because he won't be here. You are going around in circles shifting goal posts for a guy coming off a 20 catch season. Sure he can be better with a better QB, but we don't have that in year one of the rebuild. They can probably sign a better FA than Smith, but I think they will also draft a WR OR two that fits what Kyle like to do. He loke guys that can run a rout tree or be good in the screen game, something Smith never excelled at. Instead of whining about it, why don't you look at why he was cut and what they want to put in place. You cry over every move. Lol

What we do know is as the highest paid receiver on a bad team that went 2-14 he was the worst.

I am not whining about it, I am just not excited about getting rid of a player without having anyone to replace him. Stop crying about my posts, I will be happy to compliment any moves that make this team better.

Loken I said. They can't replace him because free agency hasn't started and they haven't held the draft. Is this hard for you to comprehend?

I have no idea why you would think I don't comprehend that.

Here is the exchange you are replying to:

what kills me are people who have been screaming for major changes in the last two years.. now we have some guys who are not afraid to blow s**t up and make the right moves that may not be the popular ones and now people are mad,,, with as bad as we are.. the only way to fix it is to blow it all up and start over.. smith gone is good. you can cut hyde to in my opinion. screw it. you can not scream for change and then as soon as it is made. start to back track on it

I replied:
I am waiting to see moves that make the team better not worse or the same.

What did Torrey Smith do to warrant all of the freaking out about him being released? I am sure that they did it now so that it affords him time to sign with another team at the start of free agency. I like the move.

This process isn't going to be perfect but they are moving in the right direction. Remember when Pete Carroll ripped apart the Seahawks roster?

I'm loving Lynch. Completely blowing the previous GM's mistakes out of the water. Can't wait for Thursday and then April 27!!

He really hasn't done anything yet. Letting Torrey go wasn't earth shattering.

I'm thankful the 49ers don't want Kap back. We needed a fresh start.
Pryor and Britt get it done. We need WRs who can produce with crappy QB play. Letting go of Smith who admitted he often wasn't in the right state of mind to play because of the state of the team especially the offense was the right move. He's not a Kyle type WR. You got to have been pretty bad on tape to be cut from a team with $80 mill in cap space. Smith needs to go to a playoff team who's looking for a piece. We need the whole damn cake. If it's August 1st and our WR core doesn't look better at least on paper than this last year then I will get upset for losing Torrey.
Not extending patton was a great move. Thank you lynch for clearing the dump.
